Technically, there's nothing wrong with that. But a lot of runners don't really like that because you'd be doing it without their permission. Also, most runners have their runs on YT already anyway, like me, so the practice is just unnecessary.

Hmm... Is this a special kind of SotN? Cause I can skip conversations etc or neither do I start with 80 hp, start with 75.

Seems to save a lot of time to speedrun tries if you can skip conversations.

You can skip cutscenes when you have a cleared save file. And Alucard's starting stats are based on how fast you beat Dracula, how much health Richter loses, etc.

I haven't played harmony, but aria was great. It wasn't quite as good as symphony of course, but it was still very worth playing. I highly recommend it.

Excellent videos! The only things I could say while watching this were "Holy s**" and "Wow." Your videos helped my times a lot, as I didn't know about the wolf kick jump in the clocktower, and how to skip Richter. I've tried two speedruns since watching your video, one at 1:07:56 and the other at 53:05. I took spot #4 on the XBLA leaderboards with the 53:05 one. I'm just about to do a third run, hopefully to take #2 spot (current holder has 44:34). Your video has been a great help, thanks

if you unequip all your weapons before you meet death at the beginning he doesn't take them away and it really helps in the long run

It's not so simple. That's only possible on Luck Mode, and even then you don't just walk into Death's room. You have to get hit by a Warg so you're sent flying through the room. It's only possible on Luck Mode because that mode lowers your defense immensely.

great job dude!! i studied your sotn speedrun and decided to do on my own... doing the route you did..combined with some of lucids playstyle and yours i can only make it around 39-40mins...no vids to upload yet.. but it'll be up asap.. im having trouble as i do shield dash as often as i want since my fingers wear off too fast and im playing sotn using an emulator.. btw.. how'd do u skip richter on a first try..is there any trick? thanks ahead... you rock..

He uses the wolfs full dash and jumps at a certain point on the stairs to trick the game into thinking he already saved richter and he runs through past the throne, then he switches to human so it doesnt go into the convo and doesnt freeze the game.
