You can't ask anything of the Chinese people. Most households don't even own cars and per capita pollution is far less than the US, while each household in the US has 2-3 cars on average.

i don't know how u got the idea that the pollution per capita in the US is lower than in China, try 6 times the pollution in US right now... And one reminder: the haze u see on TV is actually mainly humidity, typical in Beijing in the summer. If u ever been to Beijing during other seasons of the year, bet u won't complain about the "pollution".
