So my question is, what's the story ? Is she fighting "Angelic" forces for the same reason SPAWN did ? I guess the tried and tested DEMONIC bad guys were getting old ? When you've already kicked the devil's ass, you gotta find a more powerful enemy to challenge ? Someone enlighten me, please :)

And yes, this game will definitely make Devil May Cry, Ninja Gaiden, Shinobi, Onimusha, all seem very CLUNKY in comparison. It's a nice evolution in game play style.

why not look up the story? it's on youtube as well. but to save you time. there were 2 groups, 1 controlled light and other dark. 200 years ago they were all killed but bayonetta, now she is out for revenge. and all of her torture moves are things that have been done to her previously.
