@Bomberzone1745 I quite agree. The dissonance of the score makes Phantom so different to anything else. Lloyd Webber did a very good job considering he usually writes in a 32 pop song style, orchestrated in a way to disguise it as faux opera. A good expressionist piece in the style of A. Schoenberg is very difficult to do, and ALW seems to have understood and incorporated it well throughout the entire score. "I have brought you" etc. shouln't work in a romantic musical, but it works so well here
I'm kinda new to this Musical, Is Christine, while she's running from the Phantom at the gate type thing, is she supposed to fall or is it something that happened on accident? Sorry for asking.
i love how he's all "argh! my pen is out of ink!" *dips it* *looks at it again* "yay!" *writes* *UNMASKED*
Not a very good day for the Phantom.

I love the way she slid across the floor when she fell,
to me it made it look more realistic, like she actually fell.

Fuuny how his piano playing doesn't wake her up but the monkey music box does. LOL. Anyway, I love this song!

Yes, that's part of the blocking :-) And most phantom fans are nice enough and will be totally willing to answer questions, you don't have to worry!

I didn't realize they made water reflections on her face. Do they do that in all productions and I didn't realize it? Wow...
This isn't too bad. They're great individually, but when they're together, it doesn't seem like they have the greatest chemistry.
yumichan89 5 years ago
No, some of them don't do that. They should, it would make it more realistic.
JanetWood1 4 years ago
I agree. It makes a very beautiful effect, and, as you said, very realistic. It makes a bigger effect on the sets and props.

Julia Is My Fave Christine & Juan Carlos Barona is my fave phantom.

I wished Julia scremed after removing the mask.

Yeah, that would show that she was in a moment of complete horror.
RedRoseSeduction 4 years ago
I know, that would be good acting.
