  • You set the camera on your helmet?

  • @justcavalla I just left my poles at the bottom and held the camera out in front of me.

  • @ 4:17 -1C to -2C is NOT 34F - 36F. Get the conversion right !

  • @smithlee07 Fixed! Thanks for pointing that out.

  • Stupidest thing I have ever seen. And I have seen some very stupid shit.

  • that run was so short holy shit

  • that "black" run looks like a mid level green at where i ski.

  • good clip; who knew?

  • I don't think I would ever like skiing indoors. It's just too creepy and claustrophobic. But then, I'm a Coloradoan, born and raised - with snow and mountains! :)

  • dubai has everything now compared to 20 years ago.

  • what year did you go to Dubai

  • bored

  • indoors indoors indoors like in Sponge Bob

  • Snowworld landgraaf, netherlands in 30 km from my hometown. It is the largest indoor ski in the world, an it is awesome to know that it is ever bigger that that one in dubai :D

  • 5 minute chairlift ride for a 30 second run, i think i'll stick with the real stuff

  • I Looks Small Cuz It's Frm Four Years,, The Place is Huge There Now ;)

  • What a fucking shit skiing park.

  • Piste noir Lol ?

  • Il vas à deux à l'heure le siege -_ -

  • You gotta be a real bad-ass nation to say Fuck you to mother nature...

  • They are building the biggest entertainment center in America in NJ right across the river from NY which will include an indoor ski slope which is 250,000 sq ft.. About 76,000meters..

The project first began in like 2003 I think.. But stopped about 80% complete due to insufficient funds in 2008.. But late 2010 some billionaire from NY basically bought the building and started working on it... And they announced it should open 2013.. At first it was called the Meadowlands Xanadu but they change

  • @moschoi It's called the American Dream Meadowland now i believe...

  • @moschoi but it will be the largest in America, not the world.

  • pretty expensive bunny hill

  • BLACK run?? WTF

  • lol.. take a plane to north europe ..or anywhere with natural snow.

  • If people in Dubai want to ski they take a plane and they go somewhere where there is real snow ! Skiing here pollutes the world, the ski run is really little and the lift is slow.

  • @atywa that is real snow smfh

  • @AgrivatedKillah false snow or not, it's a waste of energy... :s

  • I would love to ski there doesn't look like there are that many moguls, maybe im wrong but man I have been to one before and their fun although I think the real thing on a mountain is a lot better :)

  • this is not the 3rd biggest this is the actuall biggest one

  • Slow lifts but this is pretty cool lol

  • I guess it's good for the people from the desert who have never skied before but being from Colorado that looks just pathetic to me. I'll stick to the real mountains. I don't care how big of an indoor place you build, they'll never compete with real skiing.

  • Wow, the place is empty. How does it make enough money to be self-sufficient?

  • lol this is pretty cool, the slope is fairly basic but to say that this slope is inside of a building is pretty cool.

  • 2:55 there is a gayper snowboarder! damn gaypers!

  • How much is an AED compared to USD? lol

  • heard they were planning to build the worlds largest indoor ski resort in Georgia 10mins from my house so was checking out how big the one in Dubai is.

  • ehhh... if america wanted one america would build one. meh... its not even that impressive -_-"

  • richest city ever

  • LOL @ the genius that said "it's not real, it's artificial" wow - please tell me you are on meds!

  • dam it takes so long to go up their and the ride down is so short

  • There is also one of these at the Xanadu mall in Arroyomolinos (near Madrid), Spain.

It's nice for those who don't have access to ski stations nearby although it's far from the real thing. It's pricey (for the Madrid one count 19 euro for an hour, 33 for an entire day - and you only get access to the resort, no material given) but the biggest ski stations are pricey too.

  • its not real snow its artficial

  • it takes longer to go up there then at my ski hill!!

  • This is efin awesome! wow!

  • I wouldn't get any shopping don...:P

i would ski ski ski ski ski

  • it's the future man. it's the answer to global warming.

  • They should really slow that chairlift down... dangerous...

  • 81 dollars gets me to my mountain 3 times.... this is once

  • I could bomb that hill backwards in 20 seconds and everyone would be freaking out.

  • @Ilovemytoast well good for you...

  • What a waste of energy. With shit like this, it's no wonder the earth is overheating.

  • @christo930 you're a waste of energy!!

  • @MrKyvegas00 So you think it's a good idea to build a ski-resort in the desert?

  • @christo930 Hell yeah I do. I live in Las Vegas and if we had one here that would be awesome. Dubai is a city of growth and development. Not to mention they have money like a mother fucker. It's very good for tourism and fun. If we had one in the desert in southern NV that would be awesome.

  • @MrKyvegas00 This would be all well and good if they used desert's massive solar energy to provide for the refrigeration. Isn't Las Vegas less than a day's drive from one of the best skiing areas in the nation?

  • @christo930 Are you talking about Utah? If so, then yes it is.

  • @christo930 thats honestly the stupidest thing I've heard this year. About at the end of it too, Thank you very much for making me laugh

  • @defzex What's so stupid?

  • @christo930 go learn your favts retard

  • @christo930 its from buring coal and driving cars and its not overheating retard its globalwarming

  • @runescapemanization Most of it is from burning coal. I guess overheating is probably not the best way of saying it, but yes, the earth is getting warmer. I happen to think the whole concept of putting an indoor ski resort in the desert is a colossal waste of energy.

  • @christo930 Just imagine if this giant steel tube lost power for a couple of hours in the middle of the summer! Imagine all the water than would start flowing to bottom and flooding out the bottom and the mall. I wonder if there are water tight doors built for just such a problem.

  • @christo930 They don't have to worry about losing power. They own EVERYTHING.

  • @inilledra I meant from a natural disaster or some other (maybe terrorist) event that causes them to lose power. A giant steel tube in the desert sun with temperatures at 114 can melt that snow pretty quickly.

  • @christo930 This is what happens when YOU are paying $4.00 for a gallon of gas. This is the oil exploration THEY were talking about......................

  • @inilledra $4/gallon for something like gasoline is a steal! For $4, you can put 5 or 6 people in the average American car and fill the trunk with luggage and go 25 miles in comfort and even air-conditioning! The energy embodied in a gallon of gasoline is equivalent to over 2000 man hours of physical labor. That's $0.25 a cup! We pay more for that than just about any other liquid! That's .25 cents for 125 man hours of work. Oil is so cheap it's practically free.

  • why would you go there when the hill is 30 seconds

  • 5 minute lift for 30 second ride :( otherwise its a sick idea

  • Can you smoke weed on the lift?

  • @r2d2elie ..

  • 300 AED thats 83 Canadian dollars i can go skiing in whistler for that much

  • i hate fake snow that aint really skiiing

  • 1 minute hill and a 6 minute chairlift............... not worth it

  • 5 minutes chairlift for 45 seconds of ride...(source : this video)

  • i love how the staff waves at you:P

  • oh my bad i forgot, "oil" ..ripping countless ppl off from various Countries..

  • where do they get the money to do this shit??!

  • looks fun!

  • very amazing indoor slope

  • ...so then you take your clothes off and go shopping at Victoria's Secret? NICE!!!!

  • Jammin' thumbs up if you noticed!

  • Fake

    that roof must be CGI

  • This place would be cool if it was twice as big and not a place for kids.

  • wow that place is amazing. I wanna go ski there before i die

  • I wanna go so bad. I ski in Colorado resorts but I would love to spend a few hours here with all the European rich wanna bees in Dubai, hahaha... I wanna find a hot blonde European girl so bad. Please I am tired of AMERICAN WOMEN,.

  • Too bad I can't go there. I'm Jewish (and have dual citizenship with the US and israel), therefore I would be under a serious life-threatening situation by just stepping in the UAE

  • @Brink0War if you are American nothing will happen to you! and by the way the last time Israel killed people who were visitors in Dubai...

  • it looks really boring to ski on

  • what is 300 AED converted to USD?

  • @GlowRaver800 $81.68.....According to my unit converter on my MacBook.

  • according to my converter is 17.74euro for an hour and 66.54 for a day pass

  • skiing ther must be very boring^^

i am glad to live near the alps :)

  • larger than my local hill

  • the slops of these hills doe not seem very steep. but y would americans or Europeans come to dubia for skiing..(as you can most of them skiing are white) otherwise the place is very creative itself

  • a lot of arabians said It is impossible in desert haha I will go there someday

  • Looks ok for an indoor place, but once you've been on a real mountain, this really just looks like a bunny hill with an excruciatingly long chair...

  • and where is this

  • @LucasV5656 dubai in the middle east

  • after watching this i do not want to go there. The lifts are way too slow and very short.

Great video, lots of info thx for the upload

  • IVE BEEN THERE its ok.

  • Geez that's a slow ski lift

  • 400 meter isnt that long these days! nothin special here and then the price :))

BOTTROP GERMANY - 640 meter - 25 euro - sat. evening skiing + free food + free beer!

in my opinion this a bit dissapointin from dubai.

  • @wippermannl well its in one of the hotest countries, in a mall and lots of people in u.a.e are rich so they dont mind the price + they're not used to big hills and faster lift so its fine with them. oh and the price includes entrance and equipment. I dont think they could hvae made it bigger i mean common its inside a mall!!

  • Very cool and informative video!

  • People I guess Dubai area is hot all year round and don't have the lexury from mother nature providing natural snow fall in winter like other countries that have it. Indoor outdoor who cares!!! At least it gives the average local people to experiment due to affortibility which they may not able to afford to travel all the way to Alaska or anywhere else... Hello?? and I thinik it unique and cool that they can do it. People get a fucking life...

  • good thing this is in DUBAI, where its like 100 degrees F most of the time, theres no REAL MOUNTAINS with REAL SNOW on them, jack ass. Why don't you take a hike through Alaska and find your inner self

  • @TheHumanExtinction then do something about it instead of commenting on youtube videos

  • Nice vid ! Thanx 4 posting !

  • rubberduck skiing in austrailia during the summer? lol thats the dumbest thing ive ever heard. if your gonna fly all the way down there you might as well go to new zealand where its really at not austrailia

  • the snow must get gross pretty fast, especially indoors.

  • wow! Nice video! I fell like i've been in ski dubai. Congratulations.

  • The point of the ski resort isnt to visit dubai to go skiing, its so you can ski while visiting the mall.

  • thing about dubai is that its so hot in the day time theres hardly any people out side only cab drivers in there cars at night is when the city comes to life

  • Longest lift for the shortest run

  • My God the rest of the world is trying to reduce its carbon footprint. Dubai's waste and lack of restraint is cancelling it out. Who the hell would go to Dubai to ski?

  • @irishxxkelt i would...and every1 i know would...sorry if u cant afford it...u can watch ;P

  • ?Why would I want to go to Dubai to ski in a shed with artificail snow when I could go to Europe where they have real snow and mountains and breath taking scenery?

  • exactly lol

fair play if you live in dubai etc

but you have to be a fucking idiot to fly from europe just to ski there

  • yeah i agree... i wouldnt go to dubai just for the skiing at the mall

  • Dubai is so wasteful that their carbon footprint must be astronomical. Besides they have to be bailed out by Abu Dhabi.

  • Nice video bunglist, very informative !!!

But lame concept, go ski in Lebanon

Cheaper, better and at least its an OUTDOOR activity

  • thats kind of lame is it not?

  • it is but not bad for summer

  • The black run you said would be an intermediate slope...... it is hardly sufficient as a bunny hill

  • haha thats wat i was thinking to

  • just a lil bit steeper

  • ha, Snowworld Landgraaf in Holland has 5 slopes, three of them have a length of 510 metres

  • Its the netherlands bud. Holland has not been a country since world war 2.

  • Try telling the Dutch that they haven't been a country since World War 2 and you will get a wooden clog up your ar*e pretty quickly and a big cheese wheel in your face!

  • Landgraaf :) 1 piste with some barriers! i dont call that 5 pistes??? i did ski on the longest of the world, Bottrop Germany 640 meter

  • landgraaf pownd alles ;p

  • Skiing in Dubai. How nice is that.

  • I personally can't stand not being able to ski in the summer, but this place really does not look much fun. Takes a long time to get up, very quick run down, and nothing to do on the way down either. For beginners sure, but if I really wanted to SKI during the summer I'd just go to Australia.

  • thats nothing compared to real skiing

  • it's not meant to be a replacement, merely a substitute when mountains aren't an option.

    DICKFUCK!

  • @benrle like in the summer

  • these slopes are nothing compared to the real deal, however, the fact that these people have managed to build indoor skiing is amazing, so i must give them credit for that.

  • haha,i know dis cuZ im living in dubai..i already came here,,,its was very very fun...

we only pay 60dhs each person...cuZ it was summer(we go der last wik)

  • I will admit, this does look fun for the summer! plus you dont have to deal with running into trees and stuff

  • dodging trees is all part of the fun!

  • ..until you get your nuts busted. Then the fun disappears. lol

  • Are you sure its the biggest? Because Maastricht's snowworld landgraaf is pretty big to standing at 520 metres long to ski :D

  • how much didt you pay to stay in that hotel ??i heard its allot of money to even watch in that place!!

  • In moscow's indoor resort lift is much faster. But the slope littler.

  • that apparent "black run looks more like an avrage at best europen blue run

  • I am going to Dubai this summer

  • Your vid is awesome!! I don't really ski but I went a month ago and I had to try, I'm really bad at but it was funny though! Hahaha =)

  • Great vid.

The lifts look really really slow, must be frustrating when you wanna use up the ski pass as much as you can when the lifts are going as slow as hell.

  • ...

  • that is a really nice INDOOR ski resort but compared to any good outdoor resort in the California for example its nothing. but it is very impressive tho that such a facility actually can be made if someone simply wanted to do so.

  • tbh its amazing and probably very expensive to build...but its kinda a waste when it takes u 20 seconds to go all the way down the slope.

    pretty tight still but w.e

  • been on this well good i espcially love the side haha and the lil space were u go and u can hide nd stff

  • I WANNA GO!!

  • that chair lift is really slow

  • so are you

  • I laughed when you said that slope on the left was a black run! Every other ski resort in the world would call it a red slope, i know for sure Austria would call it a red run, the blacks there much steeper than that and they are easy blacks haha.

Im looking forward to coming here in May!

Do you have to pay more to rent the boards?

  • lol red run? i have never heard that before, here in canada we have green run, blue run, black diamond and double black diamon.

and im an extremely avid snowboarder, (well im canadian what do you expect)

  • i know man but doesnt that look fun for the summer? do you think the have a park?

  • yeah man in europe and the rest of the world it goes blue, red then black

  • Excellent video. Thanks.

  • With all the money it cost to build and maintain, you would think the lifts would be high-speed...

  • this place is awsome love boarding here with friends especially since we live in a desert country having snow is just insane

  • amazing what technology can do.

  • Yes, according to wikipedia it's called Xanadu and is under construction.

Please remember that most people here don't live in America.

    I personally don't care if there's a bigger/better/faster/stronger/longer slope.

According to Wikipedia, America has no open indoor ski slopes. Three are under construction.

If you feel the need to leave a comment to say that America has a bigger/better one, in this case you are wrong for the moment.

  • i went to Ski Dubai

but they did not allow me to Ski, i had to take lessons or something(i knew how to ski)

so i just went to the snow park

  • that is amazing! so goddam big, honestly tho im from california and even our worst ski resort would blow that place away; i think the only reason you would even want a indoor ski is because you couldnt have a outdoor one in the first place.

  • and a Formula 1 car would blow away Lance Armstrong, so he's crap. And Danica Patrick is soooooo slow next to a Eurofighter, and your country is soo cold/small/dark/crap when compared to the surface of the sun.

Your comparisons are not between similar things.

Your outdoor ski resort on a mountain is better than an indoor slope at sea level in a desert? Wow! That's amazing! It's also not relevant.

  • not really what i was getting at but the people who actually snowboard/ski know what im talkin about lol.

  • Are you suggesting I don't "actually snowboard/ski" and therefore don't "know what im talkin about"?

It's me skiing in the video!

You compare a MOUNTAIN to a BUILDING in a DESERT. I don't think a building will provide better skiing than a mountain any time soon.

Your comment compares things which are not comparable if you remember that one is man-made and the other is not.

  • thats not big at all. its actually small. whats the big deal?

  • * 400 meters long,

    * using 6000 tons of snow

    * is maintained at a constant -6°C when it's often 45°C outside

Small compared to your ignorance maybe...

  • thats dinky dude! yo, itz not even koolz

  • That's not even English.

  • and wutt lango do u spek?

  • Lovely video with all valuable informations.........thnx

  • any jumps there??
