  • Fake and gay lol jks this is a very good tesla coil im making a 12v flyback tesla coil and would like to no if say i put a marx generator set up to put out 100kv or so and ran it with a spark gap into a tesla coil would it work well?

  • Hurrá! :D Magyarul van :D

  • i need a schematic for that

  • great coil, good for demos

Do you have any schematics available ?

  • could you please send me the plans? pm me and i'll give you my email

  • please! can you send me your plans?

  • it looks like its trying to grab something before you put that bar next to it lol

  • how many amps

  • how much?

how much to make one of these things?

  • Is it safe? I mean, the lightnings are 24V too?

  • @xFLYBATx Might be safe or leathal, all depends on the output amperage. The lightning comming from the toroid is no longer 24V, that's just what's used to power the transformers before the coil. The regular calculation is 1kV per mm of spark (about 1/25 of an inch) but with direct current I'm not sure if that applies.

  • I want to make a tesla coil now T_T

  • Great background music

  • please i need a answer... seriously at this voltage can the lightning cause injuries?

  • i dare you touch it !!

  • is this a free energy or not? does it need an input power to make it work?

  • @jeancruz01 Of coarse it has a power source! Why on earth do so many people think Tesla coils produce magic free energy?!

  • @jeancruz01 are you kidding... did you not see the 2 lead acid batteries>?

  • @jeancruz01 Seriously?

  • It's fine to touch. Just don't touch ground at the same time... Or. Do.

  • @spencertron88 you wont FEEL pain but it could SEVERELY damage your nerves

  • @legomastr1 You'll need more power than that to do "SEVERE" nerve damage. I think the shock while not painful, will keep his fingers away. (RF burns aren't fun, nor do they smell good. ) Plus, you do feel a tingle (It's not a good feeling)

  • what's the small orange tube like lamp next to the batteries? does it have a function?

  • This doesn't look like 24v dc

  • @donviper2012 maybe the two 12v batteries explains better for you..

  • hey great vid but did you just hook up 2 12 volt batterys to the primary which passed on to the secondary is that it. Is it really THAT SIMPLE pleeeeeeeaaaaaaaase reply

  • @BCQD4 no it's not nearly that simple:/ he probably has some kind of an oscillator

  • @BCQD4 yeah its just paralleling I did it as a tower climber hooking up back up power for a tower.

  • @BCQD4 No, it is certainly not that simple. Electricity is switched back and forth at the resonant frequency of the secondary coil, which by resonant rise, will induce a high potential across the coil, inevitably breaking out.

It takes a good circuit to switch at the exact frequency needed. Especially at such frez's. (> 500 KHz)

  • Is this a solid state? where is the tank circuit?

  • I love your toroid :)

  • how to make it? in english, please ( :

  • twist!? ! :D :P ~~ !!!

  • I have made one and its working. But what will happen if i touch it?

  • @technology49 idk. why don't you go ahead and touch it and let me know how it feels. if the current is strong enough to show the arcs in the air with out a piece of metal next to it, then it would prolly be enough to taste the filaments on your tongue pretty damn good. Granted its only a 24V system. but idk. touch it. OOOH! better idea - make a video of you touching it and then your reaction (im being totally serious right now, too) im really curious now.

  • Touch it! you wont. no balls!

  • @skaterbill06 why he should touch it ? it realy hurts that why he is holding screw so streamer won't hurt like hell but you can say he is still touching it ....

  • @sprogdiklis ive touched the output and because of "skin effect" you wont even feel it.

  • @skaterbill06

    no balls, one vagina

    lol

  • Comment removed

  • how the fuck did you make that?

  • What type of material is the torus (toroid)?

    greetings from Mexico

  • Good video ! More on "Tesla and cold electricity" by HorizonDelta

  • will it kill moskito ? XD

  • Ok, im from Croatia, and Tesla is from my countrey. But can you please make a tutorial or just a rewiew of that coil? I want to make it. THANX!

  • Nice Tesla Coil. I'm trying to learn how to build one of these babies. I have a really old regulated power supply that can supply that voltage. Unfortunately I don't have the money nor the apparatus to wind the magnet wire. Good job though. Thanks!

  • how many turns does the secodary have ??

  • can u plz give me some instructions in how to build one like this

    thanx

  • Nice Video:)

Is it really from 24 V? or do you have a flyback or so:)

How many sec turn does this coil have?

  • Nice Video:)

Is it really from 24 V? or do you have a flyback or so:)

How many sec turn does this coil have?

  • hello

Kb menyi ért meg menyi idő alatt lehet egy ilyet csinálni :D

    előre is kösz a válaszod

  • DO WANT

  • How did you made this?

  • What did u use for the verry top part?

  • Command and conquer red alert!

  • Good

  • Could anyone tell me how this thing is oscillating on only 24VDC? Is there's some kind of IC-based oscillator with power transistors? Author, please response.

  • @viliusseduika

Think about it, he's able to adjust the frequency using a potentiometer - there's no motor whirring so there's obviously no rotary spark gap, and it's DC so _something_ needs to oscillate to excite the coil - I'd say you're spot-on with the IC and power transistors/FETs ;) Maybe a 555 timer, some mosfet drivers and a couple of IRFP2907's?

  • @PodeCoet Well it COULD work, but how hingh currents must be in the primary, so it could induce current in the secondary? For 24V and that sice of the coil I think it has to be about 100-120 amperes. Am I right?

  • one heck of a bug zapper

i really want a midi one so i can do the whole Sorcerer's Apprentice thing

  • P.S. nice torroid :)

  • heeeey oh :) 0:10

  • DUDE you got to give me the schematics to that

  • There's no inverter in there to convert over to AC? Dang, I want to build one of these! Would a Hard Drive platter be a good replacement cupola?

  • That is a very, very cool little coil *thumbs up*

    :)

  • That makes a AWESOME bug trap.

  • Impressive :) I plan on making an SSTC that size. Though the spark gap must be considerably small. Oh well, I'll work up to a 30 amp when I get more experienced. Nice build!

  • so what amount of current is on that coil if its voltage is only 24v dc?

  • upside down squid is not amused

  • Put your hand in there! :)

  • can u send me the Schematic?

  • @sanyi20091 no

  • this... is kick ass!

  • Whats the song in the backround?

  • @s28400 Snow (hey oh!) by the Red Hot Chili Peppers .

  • ITS BATTERIE POWERED!!!

  • touch it!

  • a new way to cook octopus

  • @bobobano

the power puff girls will love this "invention"

  • dude are u selling that thing cause i would definatly buy it

  • what are the ratings for the caps?

  • holy shit that thing is scary for its size

  • I have a 60kV DC HV supply, now all I need to know is how to make one of these:D

  • @benner2000 you need AC current to use transformers.

  • @thechosenhacker Or pulsed DC current.

  • what's you're HV power supply?

  • @zker666 may it a (H)igh (V)oltage

  • Pretty nice little sstc there running at 24Volts. Maybe I will make similar size tesla..:)

  • Надеюсь, удастся повторить подобный аппарат

  • What frequency does this run at? Thank you!

  • Nagyon kafa!!!

  • I would like to make a Tesla Coil, like this, would you be able to supply the plans, please.

  • GEIL , mehr mehr mehr, wir brauchen diesen strom!!

  • Does anything happen if you point a LASER into the arc? I heard that LASERs ionise the air and make it conduct along the beam or will that only be very high-powered LASER?

  • i love that you capitalized LASER, like how i wish i had LASERS to put on my freaking sharks. all i want is sharks with LASERS on their heads. is that so ridiculous to ask?!

  • haha, that's a great film (especially the silhouette scene with the sailor - PMSL). LASER should always really be capitalised though because it's an acronym for "Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation". Laser and Lazer (as it is sometimes spelled) are technically incorrect. They are awesome things which have great potential in both lethal and non-lethal weapon systems.

  • Im so inspired by your design and demonstration I intend to build one of similar dimensions, additionally I live in a small flat so its practical.

    Great neat work!

  • cool how do you make it have you got plans

  • yes it does ozone, an can also make NO2 by reacting the nitrgen in the air with oxygene, this is how they make nitric acid...

  • Is this machine able to perform electrolysis on air? Breaking O2 apart to OO, then adding another O from another O2 molecule creating O3; Ozone.

  • I want to build this where do I get the power supply to convert the DC to the right kind of current for this?

  • good one!

  • what do u use for your hv supply. please answer.

  • it looks like a computer fan with a speed dial, he probably took the rotor part of the fan out and put his coil inside of that "which I think rocks!

  • very good!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • whats that flashing little thing by the batteries? :0

  • It's most likley a spark gap, it prevents short circuitinig i think.

  • I belive that it is the safety gap

  • is it safe to touch spark with hands ? or it will kill ya ?

  • wow this would be the perfect bug zapper xD

but yea nice job on the tesla coil

  • Ez nagyon jó :)

  • Fatto molto bene....Complimenti

  • its 24v yar, but what current is it?? prob DC, but what amperage is it??

  • It is a DC driven coil, like all solid state coils, but he is using an ISSTC style driver, Interrupted Solid State Tesla Coil.

As for how much current he's drawing, I am not sure. I think it is impressive for 24V, especially that it is an ISSTC on 24V. :) Good job.

  • does it hurt?

  • Did you just make a tesla coil out of tinned meat cans?

  • thats so cool just having a mini one!

dare ya to stick the camera next to it and see what happens :P

  • Szép munka, grat hozzá!

  • Good job that is a pretty well tuned and built coil

  • could you send me a schematic or put one out ?

  • will that thing shock u?

  • what do you thunk or do you

  • it will shock u a little bit not to bad its the burning is what hurts u good question though

  • The next time you are hungry, put some cream cheese on a bagel, replace the metal top with the bagel, and fire her up!!

  • id laugh if you got shocked in the face

  • well actialy if that tesla coil is made correct it whoudnt do a thing to you if u touch it it will go over human skin if voltage has frequency over 20 kHz and tesla coil has from 100 kHz to 1 MHz

  • @unholydobry Never heard of RF burns? TC's and most HV stuff are great ways to get them...

  • @unholydobry and that is... wrong - it will go a few cm into the skin - the frequency has to be MUCH higher if you want it to stay "out" of the human body

  • @unholydobry Yeah...you won't feel it...but it has SERIOUS reprecussions to your nervous and circulatory system. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES TOUCH A LIVE TESLA COIL.

  • @Nadrealis all depends on power. Generally it is good advice is not to touch them. But I have touched a lot of shit and am still alive ;-)

  • can you tell me how is the connections?

  • ...aand what is it good for?

  • generating REAL high voltage, or if you dont need high voltage you can use it as bulgar repellant :D

  • i wouldnt do that but its cool

  • red hot chili peppers

  • amazing cool but is realy dangerus lol

  • very good tesla.!!!

    please help meee...

i need to make one of this for my physic class but i dont know how..

    please tell mee !!!!

  • The unit is FANTASTIC except for one thing. I would NOT mount an off/on switch so close.

  • how can i make one pls tell me pls somone i need to make one for my fizc class and dont know the materials and how to pls somone help me

  • Yes verry good tesla ;)

please send me an diagram to y mailbox on youtube ;)

Im doing teslas but only clascic wich are expensive ;)

i want to try sth new ;)

  • 24 V does not hurt u. I took 60 V at the school hand to hand and it didnt hurt... Sorry my bad english.

  • Yeah, but there's about houndred thousand volts coming out of that toroid...

  • right, BUT it's the current that does the damage - not just the voltage ;)

  • That is beatiful.

I'm makin gone myself, it will be my first tesla coil ever :)

  • Nice one.

  • It is safe to touch with a metal rod?Do feel anything.

  • The metal rod is grounded...

  • the metal rod is only grounded through the guy holding it. when you produce very high frequency electricity it makes a "skin" effect where the electricity wont penetrate beneath the first few molecules of your skin so it is completely harmless to vital organs. it would burn you if you touched the arc directly just from the heat

  • i know :)

if you take a plasma ball and dissasemble it.. the power supply is sort of a mini tesla coil.. isn`t it??

  • its a flyback transformer. kinnda like a tesla coil but all solid state

  • ok :)

  • this is wrong, the skin effect applies to the conductor which in the case of a solid copperwire would mean there is only electrons passing in the outer layers of the wire. In the human body current flows in the bloodveins as they have the lowest resistance, so your are conducting in the outer bloodflow, so you are damaging the inner walls of your veins.

High frequency high voltage damages nerves and brain, but you will not feel any particular pain as the nerves can not sense these high freq.

  • Does it... love?

  • can it kill??

  • Amperage kills, not voltage.

  • @andrewbreen no, put your hands to an car battery, nothing would happen...

voltage + amperage kills you ...

  • @tbsys31061

no.... put high voltage low amp's like say 1 Milli-amp across your heart and you'll be fine........i aint trying it though

  • @firedude201234 ya, thats what i tried to say, my english is very bad, there has to be high voltage and many ampere to kill you

  • can i use it as an allroundgag

  • incredibly nice! any plans available?

  • bravo!bello!

  • So your just putting 24v into the primary coil?

  • I would say he is using automotive ignition coils. . .

  • great progect!! bravo

  • Yea..... 25V but what happens if you touch it?

  • wont that mess up your baterys

  • These are pretty cool. They release random Ions and stuff into the air and then when they are a distance away it releases a string of Ions that then touch the coil and it zaps their ass.

  • what he said!!!

  • how da hell can I make one of these?

  • I want one in my room lol

    this is Crazy

  • Thats cool. Would you die if you touched it?

  • Im not quite sure euro, since it is DC and not AC. I would not recommend anyone touch it, since it would give a hell of a shock! This is a transformer that take 24 volts and turns it into 200000 volts! Thats equivelent to a stun gun!

  • That's a nice coil

  • are you puting 24v straight into the primary or is it steped up before the primary circut?

  • I use translation program, sorry for the mistakes.

The average power consumption of the electronic circuit 100...140W

The average current uptake of the electronic circuit 5...6A

  • How much current it draws from 24V battery?

  • Any chance we can get instructions in English?
