I'm listed as associate producer for this entire album, but all I did was use my engineering skills to replace all the live drums with better sounding midi samples and rough mix the album. Reprise had signed a group called "Who's Image" that looked good, but were horrible live, and had Slapbak, the best band in Los Angeles at the time, opening for them. I told Barry Squire the A&R Man before the concert started he had made a mistake. Slapbak packed the dance floor and Who's Image cleared it.
Saw Slapbak @ BB Kings Blues Club in Universal City, Ca. Bout the year 2001 ( I think), boy they rocked the house! Nice job Slapbak on your success! Keep on Funkin, Groovin and Jammin!
Most people didn't know that Jara is the only person on this song (music & vocals). He also had to sneak in recording live drums on it before Larry Blackmon got to the studio and Larry almost fired his engineer because of it.
Loved theses guys from day one and this brings back hte memory of seeing everyone else feeling the whole"Knocking Boots RnB" thing at the time but this was what i was into then and feel it deeper now . 1993 if i remember correctly and i'm so glad these guys are still making music as the world needs music with "real musicins"plus the groove element as well Thankyou Brother Toxic Lite x keep i comin (:oD)
In Dutch 'slappe bak' means a bad cup of coffee.

What are the names of the young ladies in the video? They both look so familiar. Are they still with the group?
