Nope, Queensland Australia. The train is unusual because of the 4 locos at the front, and then the remote. Usual configuration is 2 4000/4100 class in the lead (or a 4000 and 2200) and 1 or 2 4000/4100 in the remote consist. Remotes are controlled from the lead by distributive power. My guess for this is configuration is 2 of the lead locos are being relocated out towards Blackwater/Bluff area, and then the train is heading for Minerva.
This train configuration is also quite common in Canada on the Canadian Pacific Railway. Usually, 2 engines in the front, and then either 1 in the middle or else now more commonly 1 at the very end. They are all controlled remotely from the front lead engine. NO sure why someone would say this is stupid.
