The jet engine was invented by Mr Whittle of England. The Me 262 did not have the refinement and reliability to make a tinkers damn in the end.

they were cobbled together under the trees and went together poorly under circumstances in which there parts were built. they would have been of no value to the usa or england with their performance parameters and range at that time in history and were too little too late.
