It was not brooklyns first tornado. He keeps saying that in the video. There was another the day Mark McGwire hit his 61 st homerun to tie Roger Maris. It hit Manhattan Beach Brooklyn and uprooted and leveled loads of trees throughout the neighborhood and moved over to Riis park and did some damage there. If i recall it was three twisters.

Unless I see video of the actual thing, I won't believe this was an actual tornado. I don't argue that there were extremely high winds, but tornados need open land to really develop properly. I think the media is just taking the severe damage and running with it because it gets people tuning in and gets ratings, but I seriously doubt you'll ever see a tornado in any part of NYC.

Ask anyone from Bay Ridge or Sunset Park.  It was a tornado. It ripped the roof off of houses on my block and tore off part of the structure of our house. Why people like you feel the need to deny everything they dont have video of is beyond me (and is sad), but anyone who was in this thing knows exactly what it was. The FEMA folks labeled it a 132Mph F2 and they do NOT just do that for the hell of it.

Not true. Tornadoes can develop anywhere. Like mother nature is going to spare NYC or any other major city. You just can't control the weather. Think about it. You hear about it happening more in small towns and open plains because they are spread out. There is tons more open space & farm land. Downtown Miami was hit by a tornado several years ago. Weather happens.
