  • Dutch beamtrawler, 42 meters en 8.5 m width. 2000 hsp wartsila.

  • ask not what your kitchen can do for you, ask if your country is too hot, then get out.

  • what is your price ? ......

  • Soon it will be time to put sails on boats again.

  • Pity the video doesn't last longer, would like to see her move in heavy seas. How long/wide is this vessel?

  • What does the job is a 10 or 12" ft. prop turning at 80-100 rpm. Lots of momentum.

  • damn that thing must have some serious power to bury the bow like that and barely slow down!

  • /watch?v=mRYtf28K3sY

  • wow it almost got under the water

  • Navy Spirit

  • This ship is not for everyone. :)

  • "take everything you can and leave nothing but discards and destruction"...old e.u fishing policy proverb.

  • ROLF. "4M waves don't bother it much". Yes, and sinking doesn't bother it much either. LOL.

  • Amazing.

  • eso es real 100% por100%

  • Dutch?

  • Beam trawler.

  • should keel haul ya...

wishing the deaths of the people on board... thats whats wrong with you peta types... get you priorities straight....

they have to make a living, and quotas keep the ecosystem strong

  • Well, this vessel was bought before Damen took over the Maaskant Shipyard, which is/was specialized in building fishing trawlers, many from the design of Herman Jansen in Monnickendam

  • Is that a Damen vessel?

  • Is that a DAMEN vessel?

  • well, Ilisa, in duch a trawler is an other vessel than a "kotter". I used to know most Duch kotters, and I new a few Britisch ones like JSE from Porthmouth.

  • hia i noticed u mention johnsons sea enterprise. my dad worked down there for 12 years on the lillian j, petronella, zuederzee and the andrew j. who was it u new down there?

  • as far as I know this is a Duch kotter and not a trawler

  • Of course it's a Dutch 'kotter'. In English they call that a fishing trawler.

  • @zande51 That is a Beam Trawler. They shoot 2 beams, one either side, looking at the video, hes either got his gear down, or he is steaming with the outriggers out to assist stability, the absense of the daytime fishing signal of 2 triangles, apexes together would suggest the latter. --Nick
