omg! great video I grew up at 426 keeney st a couple blocks from Baker Park in the 70's! So much has changed & so much has stayed the same over the years!
ps, the wiener used to sell salvia n cigarettes n u could smoke weed inside. then shit got hot, and everything was in the alley. no its just straight gone. oh well.
Nice one! My father owned the White Hen there on Main Street from '87 until around 2005...I grew up working there with my sister and brothers and the whole cast of Main Street freaks and geeks. Loved It! Mostly great memories, altho it did turn increasingly dangerous over the years. Cross-Rhodes is still there on Chicago Ave.
WOw, that was great I watched the north one first, and I'm a south, ( and I dint even know..) I really wanted to see Capt. Nemo's sub shop near howard...I used to skate at Robert Crown too..all I can hear is STyx singing Come Sail Away....
I never drank in HS, but I knew people were.... seeing the Y was crazy!
oh yeah, and Main Street Cafe' we took out Gyros from there a few nights a week... and DR JAZZ.. who could forget their winter special
It's completely crazy how much Evanston has changed. I moved away in 2004 after living my entire life there, and when I came back over winter break I was freaking out!
Wow. Some of the names that I see in these comments are bringing back memories!!! Thanks Jen for the great videos. I've been forwarding the link to all the 80's ETHS grads I can think of. To respond to thayoungsir, we skated at Robert Crown and went to the IHOP, even way back then. -Ann Tuzson
I grew up in Evanston and lived on Hinman Street from 1967 to 1973. It's too bad that Baskin Robbins is no more. I remember that street corner as well as the street corner with the newsstand. I also remember the Coronet theater. My dad took me to see Dumbo at that movie theater when I was 5. Do you remember the Standard Car Wash, which was next to the cemetery? The car wash had a HUGE neon Standard sign. Thanks for the memories.
1/3 of the kids openly admit to smoking weed, and you can buy xanax, adderall, kpins, desoxyn, ecstasy, weed, vikodin, pretty much anything, across the street at the log. it's pretty much where the wierd/awesome kids chill.
yeah u can, u just have to know the right people. most of them are little kids who think they'll get laid if they publicly smoke for some reason. most are faggoty scene kids or emo kids. its sad. a few years ago you could find doses or weed anywhere.
@novikain Which log u talking about, I am talking about the one dat is by the parking lot and the other said is mason park, cause Every time I get up go to work the police be rite their
Nice Jenny!

I remember the 31 flavours and the dry ice well.
I grew up on Judson Avenue from 1963 to 1976, before moving to Europe as a junior at ETHS.
