@TheJumpMan7 I don't have them anymore, I'm using my m-audio xponent with wich I can even do more stuff than this ones, but they are really great reliable and durable decks used them for about 5 years never a problem, only one of them sometimes wouldn't read some cds if burned bad quality (nothing you wouldn't expect after 5 years of use)but with my timecodes they were a beast!!! I'm just into controllers more than just decks... and cds for me personally are in the past. so yes they r great
what would you recommend the stanton 314 or the american audio cdi 500 im a hip hop head and want to scratch i have notice the 314 have vinyl mode and the cdi 500 dont what would you recommend
CDI 500s all the way I know ppl who had lots of problems with the stanton ones...even with vinyl mode, I would still use the CDIs sorry, just my opinion...
it depends in what kind of dj your are if you like to cut n scratch, the qd5 can adjust the curve on the crossfader but if you are more mobil I would get the qd6 is one more channel and you can allways use it to hook up the aptop or ipod thru rca to 1/8th plug. I use the TORQ connective interface and control timecoded cds
I got mine for $150 almost brand new was used for 6 months but unfortunately its not the MP3 version; the one I got has a silver platter and the ones that do play MP3 are black platters like this one, oh well, can't beat the price.
yeah you will need to buy an "Interface" either the Maya44 or "Gigaport 8 usb" or buy it directly from Virtual Dj or Numark... which is like $450, the other ones are cheaper... but not a lot
and that's an awesome price, they brought it down cause of the new cd player they have the "radius 1000 and 2000" but you wont regret the buy man, this players rock and they do almost the same just they are not mIDI controllers, anyways, njoy this beauties, you will love them. congrats!!!
who the fuck doesnt use cd pplayers ecept turntabelists..?? stupid question.. tell that to possible dj lol tell it to armin van buuren and let me know
anyone who doesn't like the feel of only computers and uses timecodes, plus anyone who doesn't like midi controllers, plus they sell them everywhere, ask the manufacturers who uses them...
no, it doesn't have a sync button at all, you have to beatmatch yourself, or if you are looking for something like that you need a controller or use soma software.
I would say yes, get it, they are really reliable decks, lots of features, and for the money, you can't find a better deal than that.
I would take them, even if you are a beginner is better to spend a lil more now and get more features, than having to sell your old stuff cause you got bored of it...
yeah they are good, BUT PLEASE!!! even if you are starting, SAVE for the extra $100 and get the 500's believe me they are woth it, even if you are starting, really soon you will want FX's, it's more fun and it'll help you mix better untill you get really good.
well, that mixer is crap, sorry buddy not trying to dicourage you, but I had it and returned it, not reliable at all, the only behringer mixer I would buy is the DDM4000, not other, behringer is not good in mixers, If you don't want 4 channel check out Numark's DXM09, 3ch + FX's and then yes get the 300's.
I am asking this because some cd turntables have a stored sound for the scratch and i wasn't sure if this is one of them because i was wondering if every scratch is different due to what song is being played!
I saw a guy scratching on a pair of these here in Youtube and although the sound did change from song to song it sounded overall weird, I have tested the scratch feature on the Stanton c324 and its quite nice actually very similar to the Pioneers.
so, i'm completely new to this kind of stuff, so i've got a question that might make me look like a complete jackass. could i like plug this into an amp and use it to like jam with a friend..or what?
yes as long as your amp has rca in the back, and you are talking about a regular amp, right, like a home th. or something. if not you'll need a mixer too.
im talking about a regular amp, thanks dude, i'm looking forward to buying this..even though it'll take me awhile to actually be able to use it correctly
Ok, so no problems with the CDI's... ? I heard some mixed reviews... problems with the BPM and some other minor stuff... you have any problems..?? What about the Q-D6... anybody know about the sound and the mixer??.. should I go with a 4 channel???
Hey man, thanks for the great review! I bought this same CDI system 6 months ago and I love it! I'm thinking of getting the QD-6 mixer because I'd like to have 3 channels; what benefits would say the QD-6 has over the QD-5 (or vice versa)?
well, QD5 is more like a battle mixer and only 2 channels, if you like scratching buy this, but if not the 3 channels are usually more usefull for a mobile app.
Thanks for that... I guess I am stuck on either buying the VELOCITY or buying the cdi500.... Does anybody know if its better to by the dual cd or separate... (no mixer involved)...???
Well when I went to the dealerand bought my cdi's I was looking into the Velocity too, and the only reason why I bought them is just because they're tabletops, the dealer told me to buy the CDI's instead because he told me there's some things on the velocity that weren't working well or were not as good as on the cdi, I don't know... I love the Velocity too... so hopefully somebody is using it so we can know, but the CDi's are great, period. Nothing wrong about them, awesome units,.
Good job.... not sure if I should by the CDI 500 system all together, (with the mixer already)... Is there a difference in buying it togeter or buying 2 cdi 500's..??
yes actually, if you buy the system together even with the case you'll pay $999, you should do it this way, cause I bought all separated and ended up paying more than that. but the sys, doesn't come with this mixer, it comes with a QD5 wich is the same but only 2 channels. still really good mixer. and the case is really handy to have all together and for mobile djs, awesome package.
yeah, well maybe I didn't say this, but you can control the sensitivity rate on the platter, so , if you don't want to use it, you just turn it off. or bring it down to "0"
That was an insightful video and I'm glad I stumbled across it. Being that I'm stuck on purchasing either the American Audio CDI 500's and the Stanton C.324's did you ever complete the video that compared the two?
I didn't do the comparisson yet, I don't have a stanton, so, we are doing this with another youtube user, but we haven't had the time to meet and do it yet, hopefully soon, but THX for the comment, glad to help! just buy the CDI man, awesome reliable deck.
DJ TAVI, both my player have DISC ERROR reading at the same time. I've lost my manual, quick start sheet to fix the problem. Can anyone help?

mixx069 3 years ago
I don't have problems at all.
In the mixer, depending on what you do, if you don't really need more than 3 channels, I would recomend not the qd6 mixer, but this:
Numark DXM09 - 3ch- fx's, really complete and usefull mixer, lil more expensive but a lot more value.
djtavi77 3 years ago
