The reason she can't stop lying is because she doesn't want to stop lying and because conservatives want the lies. Lies, smears, and disinformation have become the currency of conservatism, ever since Limbaugh proved that there's a huge market for them back in the 80s. It doesn't matter to conservatives that Bachmann is taped telling outright lies (over and over again) any more than it matters to them that Rush was lying when he said the Clintons were accessories to the "murder" of Vince Foster.

Why does she lie so much? She also said that health care reform will make us like Japan (which has universal health care and the longest lived people in the world). She said that in Japan, if you criticize the health care system they put you on a list and deny you care.

I live in Japan, and many of my friends are Japanese. Despite the fact that her claim was 100% false, she got away with it and her sycophantic followers continue to believe such made up lies.
