Tourniquets are only used if you havve no time to fix a wound properly, so in a sense, this song is for people who have many bullies after them and only have enough time to stop the bleeding even though later on the scar will be there to remind them forever that no matter what they tried back then they couldnt stop the message striking the center of their mind.
@lakotaeyes i am in middle school and one day it was anti-bullying day. it meant we learnt about bullying and how horrifying the results can be. that day, we were told to do that. we were told to write a bad thing a bully can call someone, crumple it, throw it on the ground, step on it like its your ex, and pick it up. all classes, 6 7 and 8th graders were told to do this. we were told to pick it up and say sorry. then, we noticed something. though we said sorry, the scars were still there.
I've walked down that path before. And I can honestly say, having survived it, that you can't change the bully. Let them stew in their own despair, and live and love in spite of them. That's how you show your strength... That's how you prove your worth. If you kill yourself you're only leaving the ones who love you in despair... And how is that better than the bully?

@lakotaeyes i am in middle school and one day it was anti-bullying day. it meant we learnt about bullying and how horrifying the results can be. that day, we were told to do that. we were told to write a bad thing a bully can call someone, crumple it, throw it on the ground, step on it like its your ex, and pick it up. all classes, 6 7 and 8th graders were told to do this. we were told to pick it up and say sorry. then, we noticed something. though we said sorry, the scars were still there.

@lakotaeyes that reminds me cuz in class we were put in groups of 5 and one of us were supposed to get traced so i was traced and when we were done each one of us had to say something hurtful to the tracing and rip a piece out. then we had to taped it back together and my teacher said that its easy to hurt someone but its hard to heal their would.

We live in a selfish world where children need to be taught to be kind. It has been engrained through parents to harm for personal gain... this is wrong, and also where bully-ing comes from. This teacher is wise and strong for showing children the truth and teaching them a valuable lesson.

She had the children take a piece of paper and told them to crumple it up, stamp on it and really mess it up but do not rip it. Then she had them unfold the paper, smooth it out and look at how scarred and dirty is was. She then told them to tell it they’re sorry.
