I know Rawn is eating raw...but I have a healthy little side dish the rest of you. instead of eating mashed potatoes boil cauliflower until its soft...then mash it up and add a little salt/pepper. SO YUMMY!
Physically write down on a piece of paper what your goals are and post-it-note them to your mirror or wall or whatever. So when you get down and demoralised and demotivated you can instantly be like, "Oh yeah, I remember what this is all for, no problemo!"
Dude rawn haha i love your awkwardness after you said you wanna get laid too. I'm supporting you all the way man and i'm a competitive swimmer so if you ever need help maximizing calorie loss while you swim i'll be there for you haha.
The temptation goes away after a while food gets boreing you dont want it that much i lost 50 pounds and im still vegan even after i lost it im pretty happy and really healthy dude you got this hope it helps. Dont let food determine weather you're having fun when ur 40 days in you wont want to fall of the wagon
I'm so glad I don't work in a fast-food place anymore. That would literally kill my motivation in one swoop. I'm so used to being able to eat anything and stay skinny, but still so out of shape. When I started running on a regular basis in the morning, I realized it didn't matter if I was 86lbs or 300lbs. I'd be out of breath in no time, and want to just collapse right there. I'm so much healthier now, and stronger. I don't want to go back to nearly passing out with exhaustion after 5 mins.

@huggzzz22 if you were going to starve yourself you wouldn't have any energy to be at the gym. im saying that sure you'll lose weight by eating right and drinking water, but that's only because of how much you're overweight. if you ran a mile a day in conjunction with eating right and drinking water you'd have much better results. but yea man exercise is what does it, good luck buddy

You could totally add in some carrots if you're getting bored of the celery, or make raw zucchini hummus to dip your celery and carrots into. It is possible rawn and it is going to be hard. Shay wanted to loose weight for a long time but he kept cheating himself out. When he actually actually wanted to loose weight he did. You have to put your foot down and just actually eat healthy and work out!

Thanks for this, Rawn. I have a stubborn 20-25 lbs. I'd like to get rid of, but it feels like I'm dealing with a plateau that I'll never be able to get past. It's frustrating, but I'm trying like mad to get over that hurdle. The other problem...my addiction to caffeine. I am trying to just have one cup of coffee a day, but I'm such an addict. Not sure if this happens for everyone, but coffee makes me hungry later, lol. Water and tea, here I come...blech, haha. Take care, Rawn. You're rockin' it!
If your cravings are really strong you'll eventually break down and pig out, the best thing for those cravings are to give yourself a "cheat day" where you can have ONE thing your really craving like once a month or week. either way, good luck
In my opinion/experience you should be able to treat yourself once in a while if you're dieting. If you cut out all the yummy stuff all of the time, you won't be happy and you'll be even more tempted to just quit altogether.
@daltonboy7154 It is not BAD. There is no such thing as BAD...its just that I had a bit of an addiction to burritos which are very fattening...and eating one would send me over the edge.
My motivation is simply to say I can do something. I'm only a teenager and I'm not in the slightest overwieght, but I've never been the athletic type, and I've been for about 3 weeks now and I can run 3 miles which is something I couldn't dream of doing a month ago.
rawn do you have any cheat meals? i have one cheat meal a week.. and maybe a cheat snack.. i give into these cravings when i get them so i don't have a major melt down and pig out! i won't sit and eat a 1500 calorie meal or anything but if i want a freakin' burrito then i'm going to get it, and just one not two or three! and pair it with some carrots and not chips and salsa or something! anyhoozle keep up the good work, you are a amazing! <3

If you get bored with certain foods, look up raw food recipes and have fun with it. You'll be amazed at how delicious many recipes are and how simple they are as well!

it's okay to treat yourself once in a while. people actually say that having a cheat day once a week speeds up your metabolism. you should choose a day and just have something you've been craving and then just work out a little harder. it will make your diet much easier! <3

8 days in and finding ignoring temptation hard, but watching this in the morning I am able to tell myself that I can do the same as you, and to never degrade my strength because weight loss is challenging.
also you guys need to start exercising together exercising alone is harder as you have no one to push you or get you out of bed when your having one of those days!
there is somthing wrong with sitting on coach drinking beer and stuffing ur face with a burrito......weight loss is about a permanent life style change. Eg. I move to a city and stopped driving around and started cycling.
after the weather being terrible for the past 4 days its restricting me to go out and go do some proper excersize. the sun for me really gets me in the right mind set xD i feel the same at the momement, been pushing my self and now feel a little relaxed on it all. i need to bounce back =D
I've been exercising and eating better for almost a week now, writing down what I've eaten and how much I've exercised. And I can already feel a difference! I can run longer and do more sit ups and whatever. All thanks to you and shay and everyone else. And I love watching these weight loss videos, it motivates me and makes me feel strong! If you really want a burrito, why not just make one yourself? Just make sure everything in the filling is low fat, and with chicken and veggies and a nice home made sauce you'll definitely won't gain waight
I think it's time you start learning some new recipes. The more fun you make preparing food and trying new things all the time, the less hard it will be to stick to it.
I'm thankful for this daily infusion of inspiration Rawn. Your pep talks help me out a great deal. I'm on a current battle against sugar. My diet is great, and I finally gave up colas 6 weeks ago...but I still find myself wanting "sweet" drinks. I'm not sure why I have this desire for sweetened beverages, when I find it fairly easy to excise sugar from my food intake. Wondering if maybe you could address this in a video sometime? My motivation is being able to where I love myself enough, to actually start dating someone. I'm too scared and insecure with myself, and even though guys ask me out and are interested in me, i can't imagine why they would ever want someone like me....I just want to love myself so I can also be loved.
dude remember you can have a cheat day once in a while, since your working out your metabolism will be higher so if you have a cheat day every week or so it won't matter too much.
loosing weight is too expensive, have to buy healthy food - it's more expensive that junk food, and after you have lost weight, have to buy new clothes!
Rawn, don't you think you're going overboard with this raw food thing...? Theres other healthy food out there to lose weight that aren't fruits or veggies.

Thanks for this, Rawn. I have a stubborn 20-25 lbs. I'd like to get rid of, but it feels like I'm dealing with a plateau that I'll never be able to get past. It's frustrating, but I'm trying like mad to get over that hurdle. The other problem...my addiction to caffeine. I am trying to just have one cup of coffee a day, but I'm such an addict. Not sure if this happens for everyone, but coffee makes me hungry later, lol. Water and tea, here I come...blech, haha. Take care, Rawn. You're rockin' it!

If your cravings are really strong you'll eventually break down and pig out, the best thing for those cravings are to give yourself a "cheat day" where you can have ONE thing your really craving like once a month or week. either way, good luck

In my opinion/experience you should be able to treat yourself once in a while if you're dieting. If you cut out all the yummy stuff all of the time, you won't be happy and you'll be even more tempted to just quit altogether.

My motivation is simply to say I can do something. I'm only a teenager and I'm not in the slightest overwieght, but I've never been the athletic type, and I've been for about 3 weeks now and I can run 3 miles which is something I couldn't dream of doing a month ago.

rawn do you have any cheat meals? i have one cheat meal a week.. and maybe a cheat snack.. i give into these cravings when i get them so i don't have a major melt down and pig out! i won't sit and eat a 1500 calorie meal or anything but if i want a freakin' burrito then i'm going to get it, and just one not two or three! and pair it with some carrots and not chips and salsa or something! anyhoozle keep up the good work, you are a amazing! <3

Giving into temptation doesn't mean you failed.
It's better to fail 1000 times than to fail once & never try again.
haha The getting laid method is the ONLY motivation I use. Sometimes I run to R&B music, just to remind myself why I'm running in the first place.

If you get bored with certain foods, look up raw food recipes and have fun with it. You'll be amazed at how delicious many recipes are and how simple they are as well!

I'm soooo glad you've been doing this! I love seeing you get yourself healthy and you're motivating the hell out of me! I can't believe how much energy I've had the past couple of days! I've been having a boatload of problems with my feet and knees because of my weight (thought I was gonna have to CRAWL home the other night!), but I've been getting out there and just will-powering my way through it and I'm already feeling the results!! it's okay to treat yourself once in a while. people actually say that having a cheat day once a week speeds up your metabolism. you should choose a day and just have something you've been craving and then just work out a little harder. it will make your diet much easier! <3

there is somthing wrong with sitting on coach drinking beer and stuffing ur face with a burrito......weight loss is about a permanent life style change. Eg. I move to a city and stopped driving around and started cycling.

I've been exercising and eating better for almost a week now, writing down what I've eaten and how much I've exercised. And I can already feel a difference! If you really want a burrito, why not just make one yourself? Just make sure everything in the filling is low fat, and with chicken and veggies and a nice home made sauce you'll definitely won't gain waight

I'm thankful for this daily infusion of inspiration Rawn. Your pep talks help me out a great deal. I'm on a current battle against sugar. My diet is great, and I finally gave up colas 6 weeks ago...but I still find myself wanting "sweet" drinks. I'm not sure why I have this desire for sweetened beverages, when I find it fairly easy to excise sugar from my food intake. Wondering if maybe you could address this in a video sometime?
