i remember first seeing this rant on family guy and it was so random when it came on that i burst out laughing. about the actual rant, i understand how important it is when it comes to acting but it seems to me that the guy made one simple mistake and bale makes this huge rant about one little mistake that can easily be fixed.

@zakkattack99 If somebody behaves like an asshole it´s not hard to understand why somebody (Bale in this case) gets pissed off. Bale is a human being and humans get pissed off sometimes. Maybe he had a bad day? Maybe he has a bad temper?

I've always been a fan of Bale's movies, but there's no excuse for this behavior. Being angry with someone isn't excuse to be abusive toward them. I've done a lot harder jobs than this guy for a lot less money and I would have felt like a jackass if I had behaved even half as bad as that. That said, we all have our bad days.

@inSanity753 Actually, he is essentially a "co-worker" with the guy who kept interrupting his scene. You should research the rest of the story. This guy had been a dick to EVERYONE all day long and kept interrupting takes repeatedly and no one would say anything to him. Bale did exactly what he should have if you ask me.

And can you provide the source where it says that he was being a dick to everyone all day long? Bale himself states in this video that it was the second time he trashes his scene. Second time does not sound like "being a dick to everyone all day long" to me.

i remember first seeing this rant on family guy and it was so random when it came on that i burst out laughing. about the actual rant, i understand how important it is when it comes to acting but it seems to me that the guy made one simple mistake and bale makes this huge rant about one little mistake that can easily be fixed.

You all have to realize though that he was filming a movie when this happened, and his character was similar to how he was acting towards the cameraman or whoever it was. Major actors BECOME the character while their acting, so his reaction was more from the character than him. Everyone needs to quit judging him. This is all in the past and we all need to get over it.

I think he's right. It's tough trying to control your emotions for your art, whether you're an actor, a singer, a musician, a painter.
It's even harder when some clown is tooling around, ruining your precarious emotional balance.

The thing that makes Christian Bale one of the best actors of all time is his passion for film. If he didn't give a shit about his work this wouldn't exist. This is a testimony to how dedicated to his work and how important it is to him.
