Also, in my opinion the girl's are much better at singing than rapping which is why the boys just isn't that great.

@HeyEww First, It's not thick make up, its just more eyeliner. As people grow up, they usually wear more make up than they did when they were younger. Second, wearing nice clothes rather than a 'simple tee and jeans' also looks nicer. 'The Boys' is a song thats supposed to show how strong women can be, and that's exactly what they're portraying with their outfits. They're performers. With this song, comes a different dance than their cutesy ones. Just sounds like ~someone~ doesn't like change.
