Peter Saywell is a marvellous human being and a workaholic, I know as my farther works alongside him! Those saying he hasn't earned his money or is a "tool" are just jealous. On the odd occasion he has a free day away from his business and large family, he spends it doing voluntary charity work! How many of you have given thousands upon thousands to charity? How many of you have given up as much time as him to help others?
if i had loads of money i would have a nice medium sized house and then a warehouse instead of a garage! i would have at least 100 cars from exotics to sports cars to muscle and import and everything in between. so what if u can only drive one at a time. that just means your ass is booked for the next 2 months! nice collection. finally a Pagani!!!! and Carrera GT! stunning cars
Amazing garage. But this guy is a serious fuckin tool. "I just love to enjoy some wine and walk around the cars, look at them, enjoy the shape..." Drive the goddamn cars!! "
And from the way he talks and carries himself you KNOW he's got no passion for those cars at all. Goddamn
He drives them plenty. I've seen him at several supercar meets in Europe with his custom Pagani Zonda PS and his Koenigsegg CCX. He runs the track in them, and he can drive.
Actually, as a personal friend of the man, I'd like to correct you - Peter is a MASSIVE workaholic, a free Sunday is a rare occurance - however, when he gets any spare time (and bear in mind he has a wife, children, grandchildren and so on that he also enjoys spending time with) he does drive his cars. Recently he took his custom built Zonda for a hoon around Switzerland, with a few other collector friends with their Veyron/Enzo/Koenigseggs etc.
Please pass along to Mr. Saywell that he has a special place in the hearts of petrol heads here in the "Colonies" for his immaculate taste in cars. My personal opinion, he needs a blue car for his collection!

Why does he have all those cars if he only has one arse to sit in them?
I can understand having a few cars, but that's just silly and it must be a huge hassle to do the paperwork, servicing etc. 4 or 5 cars I can understand, but that many?
It's time to realise that this sort of behaviour is somewhat silly and possibly mildly pathological. But hey, I believe in freedom and they sure are nice rides :)
I wonder if the people that actually work for him to have the money for them agree...
its his money and he can do what he wants with it.
Like he said some people spend mindless amounts of money on art and artifacts and those people are said to have good taste and class. But when someone collects cars they are throwing their money away.
This comment has received too many negative votesshow
Money is just an abstraction of value, and value is either physical goods or work. Sorry, but he didn't work for all he has, his work consists of getting someone else into a position where they work for him... so in a sense it's his employees that ended up paying for his collection. He might be a nice parasite, but he's still a parasite.
Were it paintings or art and I would hold the same position.
What I said clearly went over your head. I am the retarded one yet you're the one that, like most of the internet can't use "your" and "you're" in the proper context. YOU'RE the one that didnt realize that the yellow pages comment was referring to the "officially" quirp, which implies authority, which I sarcastically showed you had none.
This is a pointless internet folly, so please have the last word so I can move on and forget these comments :)
damn...they have all types of supercars in the uk..compare to where i am (malaysia) the cars in Peter's garage that i'd seen is the Murcielago..which he never mention in this video. Fuh..i need to go to uk !!
Funny, I do the same thing with my 1/18 die cast exotic car collection. After a long hard day at work I come home open up a can of soda and just relax look at my collections the shapes, and different colors. My co-workers collect shot glasses, stamps, etc...I collect die cast cars.
Me too! I've got i think over a hundred 1/18 cars. Unfortunately they are still in boxes because of the move. The best car in my collection is a GT350 Jerry Titus Edition race car. What about you misterg35?
@misterg35 Good on you mate! It's a nice way to have a bit of the stuff I'll never afford. Unless EuroMillions dump £166m on me.... in which case I'll make his garage look shite :D
I'd not seen this - Peter lives about 10 doors down from me in. Actually the address is Rustington as the road (which I'll not name) is right on the border between east preston and rustington.
You always know when he about - you hear them first :)
yup - nice couple too. Funniest thing is that Peter's *day to day* cars are currently 2 bentley Gt continetals, a Bentley Brooklands, a Aston DB9 and a brace of various AMG merc's - his wife on the other hand drives a 1 series beemer :)
Lamborghini, Ford GT, Bentley, Ferrari, ... How does he do it. His garage is approx 3.500.000 euro worth. I still can get it. He really needs to be a workaholic otherwise you can not pay those amounts for cars. Koenigsegg still remains my favorite supercar. But I don't think I will never buy one of these :'(. Too bad..
@inthecage27 Do u know how many people could be saved from starvation in the third world just from the value of even ONE of those cars? I don't either, but it's worthier than yet another item of inventory in an already over stocked garage.
@inthecage27 Funny enough, Peter Saywell does a lot of fund raising too. He does regular 'Supercar meets' at Goodwood race track and people can pay to get taken round the track by him in his cars, and he gives the money to charity. He's a really cool guy and amazingly down to earth too. Oh, and he doesn't have these Koenigseggs anymore, he replaced them with a blue CCX, and has recently replaced that with an Agera. He has a one-off Pagani too, called the 'PS'
Riles07, I've had the pleasure of meeting Mr Saywell at Goodwood, I can assure you not only does he love his cars, but he also puts on charity days with them. As for being a lonely man, I very much doubt that, he really is a workaholic though.
well sure; but the only people who can afford these kinds of cars, and this quantity of super cars has to be a business man....or woman. Which means there's seldom enough time to go rent a track for a day or two and race these cars the way you want to. And yes, you CAN drift a Phantom or Maybach at 150 mph, they both have available V-12's and can reach a little less than 190 mph.
A really bad investment, he also seems like a very lonely man. If you ever walk up to a super car, you should be disappointed to realize how tiny they are; they are sooooo small. For half a million dollars, Euros or Pounds, I'd be far happier with a heavy luxury car like the Maybach or the Phantom; you'll be safe, pampered, and still get the same attraction you want when you buy a prestige motor car.
Nice collection. But there's this other guy in Great Britain who has both a McLaren F1 GTR and a Ferrari Enzo. If you have those two you need no other. Maybe a Bugatti Veyron.
ah 240p we meet again.
