  • I love the neck on my millenium. It is nice and thin, the action is low and I get no string buzz at all. it just needs to be adjusted properly. for the money it is the best entry level bass on the market. i have played Ibanez that cost twice as much that I thought played like crap compared to my Peavey.

  • nice but where is the groove and the timing is not good timing is key

  • For what styles of music is the Millenium bass good?

  • high end funk and speed metAL SEEM TO HAVE BEST CLARITY FOR THE STANDARD PICK UPS

  • nice playing but your geting a lot of buzz not good

  • Do you still use that old Macintosh that's in your cupboard?

  • yea i have one that ive been playin for almost a year and i want a better bass, not a bad "mess around" bass

  • same as the guy before is it a good bass to buy, ive been playing for a year and i want a better bass. i can get a Peavey Millenium bxp4 for £120.

  • how much did that cost you

  • it was $175 used at my local Long & McQuades - I got it part in trade on a Teck 21 Wah I wasn't using much.

  • hmph...

  • I used a BXP for about 3 years before switching to a Rickenbacker 4003.

    I greatly prefer the Rickenbacker.

  • Haha I'm not surprised, Rickenbacker 4003's are legendary.

  • but only an extra £1300 lol

  • man i have that bass but in green its my only bass and i recommend sticking with it to the end... thats one of my favorite basses peavey has to offer...

  • does the bass sound like this from the box? it has a nice metallic tone! as u said, you changed the bridge, but had you changed the pickups when this was recorded? this is my kind of tone, so i'm thinking of buying one.

  • yes, the bass was stock when the video was shot. I've since installed the two SD Jazz Stacks, and I find it really improved the tone, there's still some edge but fuller, and quieter. Probably the best bass tone yet.

  • awesome

  • I have that bass but in blue, mine sounds beautiful, and so does yours.

  • hey im planning to buy a Peavey Millennium 4 AC BXP... you recommend it?

  • Bubbles, we miss you in Sunnyvale!

  • How long have you been playing for?

  • it is a bass lol

its a peavey millenium 4 bxp

    i think

  • you're right, an earlier model. It's also a work in progress - after I heard the wolf tones on the low E after posting, I'm replacing the pickups with SD classic Stacks. I've already done the bridge and it's a huge improvement - quieter, and a lot more clean and direct. I also slapped on an old Schaller bridge for getting down the action.

  • sounds like a bass

  • you should audition to join nuclear warrior with your skills.
