This might be stupid question,can I make model of my car with this program without drawing my car,I saw guy on YouTube he made model of his car using a video and he just draw texture of his car, I don't know how to explain if you want to see video search cool 3d program
@asianwong Inventor is the program that was featured, it's made by a company called auto desk and it's basically what the name implies, you can experiment with designs before you actually build it. but that doesnt mean it'll save you money, the program is about $1000 a year, so you'd have to do a lot of tinkering to justify buying it.
@asianwong not to mention the $2000 rendercard you need to buy in order for your computer to be able to do this, and that doesnt mean video card, a video card cant render and a render card cant play games
@asianwong I learned mechanical end engineering drawing for 2 years in high school and we were still in CAD. it's totally possible to learn inventor, but you have to devote serious time into learning it, and with no set parameters for the order in which you learn it, it'll take longer.

@martyn347 You mean take a picture and render it into 3D?
Depends if you run an SGI system or not, can imagine that even with a single i7 cpu this would take time (all the calculations).
