  • Flash over heating much?

  • This is a flash feature right? ie, I get this flash for my 350D, I just pop it on and it'll do all the work, right?

  • epilepsy attack XD

  • good demonstration...simple but good...

  • i would like you to tell me wat setting you are using Thanks

  • nice,But the synchronization between the Speedlite and the speed of the shutter speed not

more than 1/250 sec,and This is a problem because sometimes you need more than that,in Some conditions.

  • @moonofsaudi

Hello, I know this is an old message but I want to know how to sync my sutter and flash and higher speeds. Can you recommend a website, turorial, product or information to look into? Thank You!

  • its not a problem, any way i just have the right thing for you its an extraordinary product from pocketwizard,it will sync your flash up to 1/8000 sec,so imagine what you can do with that speed, try to check their website, just type pocketwizard.

  • What power setting do you use to get 127 shots? Im debating whether this flash is powerful enough or should i get the 580EX II instead

  • im thinking of buying this flash for my 350d. would you recommend it ?

  • Definitely! I got this flash for my 350D. I kept it for the 40D as it works well.

  • ok kl. ta

  • @DutchRS Does this enchance the picture in anyway. Do the eyes look better. I never knew wether I needed a flash, but I guess real photogrpahers do use it.

  • how meny shot can you get out from a single charge ?

  • my metz 44 af 4 C isnt that fast... whoa! but you didnt fire it on full power, right?

  • Good spot. It was firing at -1.

  • thank you very much. i have my metz for half a week now and i love it, because the internal flash is just too weak and slow. what batteries do you use? i use sanyo eneloop.

  • Hey, I was wondering. Does it flash with every shot? And is this possible for every shutterspeed at continuous shooting? I want to get into skateboardphotography but not at any cost. Im thinking of buying a 40D and a speedlight 430EX or 580EX II. What would be the difference between these two other than price? Thanks

  • Yes, the flash is at a constant rate. The encoding of the video means that it drops a frame or two.

I was using the standard 1/60 shutter speed, I have not tried it using a faster shutter speed but 1/60 means that you are pretty close to the 6.5 FPS anyway.

The 580EXII would be a better choice for the 40D if you can stretch to it.

  • Thanks for that. One more question: why would the 580EXII be better? What's the real difference between these two?

  • Only the 580 EX II is fully compatible with the 40D in camera external flash settings. The 430 works well but you can't control the flash settings through the camera menus.

The 580 EXII is also more powerful which is always a bonus.

  • The 580 can rotate 180degrees both ways, the 430 only left, and 90 degrees right. Small difference but ***** annoying when it gets in the way of a rear bounce in portrait...

  • thx for this video

  • Not sure about cheap!

  • So... doubles as cheap disco lighting then? Cool!
