Whoever says the pig and dog aren't playing didn't watch the whole video. At the beginning the pig isn't playing, the dog is initiating play, after that the pig is playing too. Pigs are tough and brave just like dogs, both love this kind of activity, it makes they better friends and tests their mettle. Yes, a potbellied pig could most likely gore and kill any sized dog (especially the males with those huge teeth) but they can become best friends extremely quickly. My greyhound plays with my pig (female) all the time. Rosie tosses the dog around like a ragdoll but they both love it. They also sleep on the same bed, but not before the pig steals the huge pile of blankets!

You do realize (and this is coming from an experienced owner) that it is a REALLY bad idea to keep pigs and dogs together? Pigs are dog's natural prey animals. I have heard reports of dogs attacking and killing/seriously maiming pigs they live with even after they have been living together for years.

I wouldnt worry to much about that little piggy. I have 2 pigs and 2 big dogs. Soon enough that cute little piggy will be a big pig, that little dog wont get much bigger.If he wants to once he gets bigger he could snap that little dog in half. Pigs have very sharp teeth and strong jaws, if they get ahold of you you'll think twice about messing with them next time.

I agree. I to have a pot belly pig. I have read these posts and some say because the pigs tail is wiggling that he's playing. In this case I don't think the pig was playing at all. I think the dog was antagonizing the pig. The entire time the pig was trying to get away and only striking back in self defense. You can tell this by the pigs ears being down. This normally means they are upset. Not a nice video if you can read a pig. Basically its a cute video at the pigs expense.

No unfortunatley they do not. Pot bellied pigs tend not to get along with other pot bellies unless theywere litter mates. They tolerate eachother but othter than that not much contact.

My older pig is 60 lbs and does not really want to hang out with anyone other than kittens and his Ferret. The little pig hangs out with my boxer and Frenchie. Humans are also predators to pigs but I don't harm my pigs either. Not all animals behave poorly.

I wouldn't expect you to harm your pigs, you/humans are supposed to be the most intelligent animal, but, I wonder some times. Usually, animals don't behave poorly, their behaviour is a product of their environment, (good or bad) and their natural instinct.

Just please be care with the dogs and the pig. If you had seen and read all the stories of dogs attacking pigs, that were "friends" previously, you wouldn't be so nonchalant.
