This is the edited version. The original, which I heard (and recorded off of) the Dr. Demento show back in the late 1980s, ended with a tragedy for Artie, Basil and Peaches -- Artie snaps and beats Basil to a pulp, and afterwards Peaches is found in the back yard, "pruned".
