  • Was the best live I ever seen. Best sound, best setup, best lineup, best Stoner Band ever. 1995. Saw them in the middle of 2000's, sadly not the same sound, poor one.

  • Tightest rock'n'roll band ever. John Stanier has the groove you just can't fuck with.

  • Simple yet so fucking heavy!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • this is the best helmet line up, betty was the peak of helmets career. would have loved to be at this show!

  • Could someone tell me: what the lyric's about? Who are the Street Crabs? I'm asking because i love this fucking song! ONE OF BEST SONGS OF THE MANKIND HYSTORY!

  • @Malpractice2003

I think the key line in the song is when he sings: "I'm not making sense/Just ignore me". I don't think Page places a lot of importance on the meaning of the the lyrics. Whatever meaning you take from the lyrics is worth a lot more than whatever he could want you to hear.

  • @Malpractice2003 "Street Crab" always brought to my mind the image of a cop driving slowly by, looking along its side as if it were a crab walking sideways. Whether or not that's accurate, I love the fucking riff at the end of this song.

  • @Malpractice2003 I've always thought it was a song about scoring a drug fix. Street Crab being being the drug dealer pusher that "infects the water" meaning he is unavoidable. The first paragraph describes someone needing a fix. "Thirst I had at last, run the water". The second paragraph reads like someone who's gotten their fix" Safe and sound, like the perfect food" Then it later goes on to describe the street crab in a unipersonal light : "Every street crab will push the Vowels the same

  • @bcastine1975 Oh yeah! It's makes a lot of sense, because Page was passing through some drug issues at that time...and your teory is more acceptable. The funny thing is that music makes me feel good, i think it's a very positive and "good-feeling" sound, i don't know...But yeah, i agree with your explanation!

  • I'll never forget how crushing it was the 1st time I saw the almighty Helmet opening for Rollins in '94 and they opened with Street Crab! They sounded fucking HUGE!!!

  • Gonna see these guys live in Columbus Ohio for Rock on the Range! Hell yeah baby! Its gonna be amazing!!

  • Stanier/Bogdan era Helmet rules

new helmet should be called the page hamilton band

  • This song is absolutely amazing. Hail Helmet and keep the good times rolling.

  • I agree with you, and I was only 3 when this was going on, people need to realize how influential helmet was.

  • Ah the Helmet years. Notice the freedom of the stage divers. In 95 you could still do that and not get beat, tazed and thrown out by security.

  • Sounds not so clever, but still a fucking awesome rendition

  • nothing compares to this. some of you know what i mean!!

  • " its easy to feel good "

i love this band man im sorry but i love helmet more than anything

    helmet Mexican Tribute

  • this band was so good live, so tight and sharp. the lineup was key, and i hope whatever page did to lose john stanier was worth it cause that guy is one of the best ever for this genre.

  • absolutly correct!

  • its life and the messge is that u have to enjoy it to max at the time

  • my son was concieved during this song

  • Bet your lass caught street crabs too

  • where was tis show recorded??anyone??

  • it says where in the description

  • best song to make love and otther nasty things with your gf try it ....

i smoke hash and i was doing the in and out thing and when the song explodes feels like heaven man

    helmet great band ever

    R.I.P michael jackson

  • ha ha...its kind of like the sum of the parts...without one it aint the same...

  • What a fucking pain in the ass those crowdjumpers are. Just stick a knife on a stand somewhere. Jesus Christ.

  • As fucking awesome as Paige is, its all about Stanier!

  • And for that reason modern Helmet just doesn't cut it.

  • i lotsss pa low meetsss I lotssss mu ganotssss

  • Street crabs = drug dealers?

  • drug dealers!

  • Can we start an intelligent debate on Page Hamiltons' lyrics?

    Who are the Street Crabs?

  • Fucking stage divers

  • I agree. Especially that hesitant fucker near the end who has to fake it four times before he builds up the nerve.

  • people has to be free to do what people wants , stage diving for ever , music is fun .... fuck annoying LISTENERS

  • @lucaHC

What if what people want is to not have to look at a stoner loser bounce up and down on stage, building up the courage to jump?

  • i love it that fucking drumm is just .. incendiary man blows my fucking ears i wish someday see helmet again with stanier awesomeeeeee songgggg man

  • LOVE IT!

  • Hey if you get a slow load time, paste &fmt=18 at the end of the url, goes high quality and loads faster, go figure.

  • Another one of those vids you just can't get enough of.Every aspect of this song rules, best song off Betty, which also happens to probably be my fav. Helmet album, hell album for that matter.Pure masterpiece, this song just so comes together, and the footage shows it.Great lyrics,F**King incredible riff, insane bassline,Drums are a clinic, accept you can't teach to hit that hard. This really showcases Pages vision of rock,as did most of Betty. The modesty of Helmet just exemplified its supremeness.

  • yep !

  • tell em what it is son

  • fuck man.... the groove is so great and the end of the song with screams...

    respect for helmet !!!!!!!!!!!!

  • "Im not making sense, just

    Ignore me"&%#&/%$(%(&))&(&%(&%(/&(/=/=?(?=/#%=?/4sjfsoiyg´0au540ú304f03fj04ug40jt03jg30jge0ti03f0wjfwvw0nv0wjf0jw

  • fuck me that drum break down at 2.05 still gives me goose bumps. good fucking job John Stanier your the heart and soul of helmet -irreplacable

  • Your so right, I can't stomach the "new Helmet" due to the inability of the replacement drummers to even begin to replicate Staniers work.Helmet is not even half as good without him,and Henry as well, was really a chemistry thing musically between John,Henry and Page.None of them having a "true" hard rock background is what made the 3 so innovative.

    "thrist I had at last"

  • amazing groove

    amazing drummer

  • Helmet in its prime... it's a shame there is so little footage of the Betty era... best record they did, hands down.

  • I agree with you on both counts. Fortunately I saw them live 8 times, so I at least have the memories

  • Wow, brings me back to the days that there were no barricades and stage diving was the thing to do because we could. Helmet rules.

  • every time I see this , makes me wanna get more high!

  • wow.....i would kill to have been there.

  • awesome...helmet,unsane,the cows...greatest bands ever...does anyone know what become of headcleaner.(uk band)....????

  • Headcleaner- Singer Martin is in a band called The Toes. Bassist Pid works as a medical assistant. Where any of their many drummers are? Who Knows?

  • nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice nice

  • nice :D

I really need to find Turned Out live

  • that was f##king awesome man pure helmet energy!!

  • holy stage divers

wish I had this whole show

  • Awesome man, wish there was more videos of Helmet on here.

  • This is f**king awsome. I would have creamed my pants had I been there.

  • This is indeed f**king awesome. I saw Helmet perform this song live once during their sound check, but it was without vocals. And no one was stage diving. BTW there's a live version of Street Crab on the Metallurgy compilation
