I completely agree with you. I have grown up in a "what-if" family, a "well-that's-just-the-way-it-is" family. Thank God I haven't conformed to these patterns of thinking, but it frustrates me when others do,especially people my age (I'm 17). Whenever someone like that disputes anarchy by saying, "Well, it just won't work. It's impossible," I always counter with "Well, I bet the there were a ton of people around the founding of America that said the same thing, but it happened didnt' it."
I think that you shouldn't have to deal with it - the thing is that if you want change, you may actually have to. Not trying to justify it or anything, I'm just saying that even though it may seem fair to swear at your opponent (or blow him up), we live in world that is unfair, so sometimes you have to spoonfeed the lazy people if you want something.
