  • Hey Hey isn't this actually with Nitrous when you took B with for her first Nitrous Run? when I was up there.

  • Yes sir, Only took me a year to respond to this! LOL

  • Had to watch this video again..How do you like the mopar 508 cam? It seems to have a good sound and also seem to pull real well in your dart. I actually like mp cams pretty good and this is one Im wanting to try..

  • I love the cam... I am going to go with a bigger MP cam in my next motor... at least a mechanical, if not roller. But I love the 509... It is not very good on low end like mo previous 284 Kinetics cam was.. but from 300 up, it pulls really hard. My convertor is a little tight though. I currently have a bout 2500 stall It needs a 3500. That and a trans brake would really wake it up... no that it is too sleepy right now! :)

  • got a 69 gts 383 big block that im going to restore

  • Awesome... love to see some photos... send me some shots if you can.

    Mike

  • I had a slant 6 ('67 Dodge Dart) with new mint green metallic paint. The color is perfect, and similar to yours, for these darts. Very nice, and rare, ride.

  • Thanks! The color on this one is actually an AMC color, but I felt it had the feel of a 60's Mopar color, and I wanted something a little different. I love these cars! Thanks for your comment! - Mike

  • is that a 68

  • Sorry to take so long responding -- yes, it is a 68 GTS.

  • i luv the car. my dad has a 69 swinger, lime green with white strip and i love it. good color.

  • Thanks! I appreciate the feedback!

  • Really Nice Ride! I own 5 of these babies. That Sea Foam Green Isn't a Dodge color or is it? Couldn't find it in the paint chip chart.

  • It's sea spray green - 1973 AMC color. I wanted something different, that had the fell of an original mopar color.

  • Ah my fault. Really Nice. Take care Happy New Year!

  • sweet!

  • 360's are great motors,,i had one on a '75 1/2 ton and could not blow that thing.. though i tried... held it to the mat for about 2 minutes in neutral and once all the way dwn the road for about 1/2 mile in first gear, in my younger more destructive days....

  • I love the 360 - they are tough, easy to come by and relatively cheap - if I blow it up and destroy the block, it is really cheap to replace compared to a 340. I have 2 - 340's but I am saving those for more vehicles that I won't thrash on as much as this one. :)

  • u are hilarious!!! i tried that in a 87 cavalier stick car once - couldnt blow it up.

  • Yes it does! Awesome car! What heads are you running?

  • Ported 360 heads with 1.88 valves and triple springs. Nothing fancy but they work super with this combo.

  • What cam and carbs are you running on this? I have a duster Im doing up very similar. I enjoy your video and really like the car!

  • Thanks for the compliment!

Here is my profile from the GTS registry, that should tell you all you want to know.

GTS Registry #293: Mike R. from Michigan picked up this 1968 340 GTS in 1995. Mike's buddy picked up this rough "field car" with plans to Pro-Street the GTS. He gave up on the project, and Mike stepped up to the plate. There was no front clip, opened up wheel archs and front fender wells. It was easier to P/S the car at that time instead of restoring (to be continued)

  • . I think Mike pulled off a fine job in finishing this Sea Spray Green GTS!! Formerly a UU1 Bright Blue car with light blue interior, the car now shines with the aforementioned Sea Spray Green and black bumble bee. Mike fabbed the back half of the car and the 8 point cage. The current smokin' hot 360 sits under a pair of Holley 600 cfm carbs mounted on a Edelbrock tunnel ram

  • It runs a Mopar Performance 292/.508 cam Oh! Did I mention the 175hp NOS fogger on top of that intake as well?? The trans is a modified 904 and running the powwer back to a 4.56 geared 8 3/4 rearend spinning the 31x18.5 M/T Sportsman tires on 15x15 Weld Prostars.

  • Does that info help DR440???

  • I'm not a Dodge fan (I run a '67 Pro-Street Chevy II), but you look like you know how to have fun. It's nice to see cars like your musclecar-era Dart in action.

  • Thanks man, I don;t get to drive it nearly as much as I would like, but I also have 2 other cars I am trying to support. :) I built it for thrasing - And I am not disappointed with it.

    Thanks for the post!
