I had the same charging problem however I am not sure if it is just the flashing light of the charger that is not working correctly and maybe it is charging as i have used it several times but mostly bought is for my little girl. Can anyone else confirm or deny that the charger is actually charging even though the light isn't?

@xavierlx Mine would drive but only for about 10 seconds after the full 45 minute flashing light cycle. I think the charger itself was the problem.

@xavierlx that happened to my son's car and so I called SPIN MASTER Custiomer service and they said its no longer charging. so what I did is return it to them asn ask for replacement. :D

my hyperactive had the same charging problem and i do not have another transmitter to charge it with. i there a chance i could fin just a transmitter on the web that is not sold on ebay i hate ebay ps: when your charger id doing its job does it flash a while then stop

Airhogs or the store you got it from should be willing to replace it, you shouldn't have to buy a new charger, it's hard to think of a place other then ebay that would sell a helix transmitter or another hyperactive transmitter.

The roll bar can come off if you undo the screws or cut it off which i highly reccomend you dont.

@marlenekasokeo44 It shouldn't take more then 45 minutes to charge, and it should last more then 5 or 8 minutes, i had problems with my charger, you may want to call airhogs

I am thinking of buying this as I love air hogs products and really enjoy rc cars. I briefly tested this product in a very limited space at toys r us. I quickly saw it had alot of speed & acceleration. The transmitter is pretty big though but feels great and gives you alot of control you'd want in a peppy car like this. I like how you get spare tires and those that a right for the terrain you'd be driving on.

I cracked the charging/syncing dilemma- I went through several brands of alkaline batteries (all new, straight from the package) and after multiple test charges the issues were how the remote responded to the power level of the batteries. Fully charged, new batteries made the car immediately accelerate once it linked with the remote. On the other hand using batteries with a lesser charge resulted in a quick link, zero response issues, and a descent amount of run time. Hope this helps...

@megajohnish either contact airhogs by calling their 800 number for a replacement or bring it back to where you bought it. you probably have a defective one like the one I was sent to review.

hi can someone please help me??? i just bought this and for some reason when im driving it, if i use no throttle and have it idleing it will drive backwards on its own.. i tryed reconnecting and it didnt work.. please help mee!

@MrRyanchester their is a forward reverse trim knob on the transmitter, it controls forward reverse trim so if the car drives slowly on it's own, turn the knob until the car stops moving.

@aggron195 Call the 800 number on the back of the transmitter and have them replace it.

Mine wouldn't charge either, and only the helix 360 charger had enough of a punch to charge it all the way.

How did you check the speed - 20 MPH? On my speed tester, I can't get it over 13-14 MPH? Curious, since Spin Master is promoting such high speed - it should deliver..right?

I've had that happen before and had to use a needle to turn it on and off.

@chichidaysin Air Hogs isn't much into faulty advertising but a lot of it depends on conditions. If you're on the proper surface you can get it that fast, but don't expect to drive around the track at 20 MPH, if you turn at full speed you'll flip

As for who should you trust, I can't answer that for you, but i trust myself, and if something doesn't work I'll tell you. If it rocks I'll say so, and this little car rocks., mine was a pre-production tester as was his, they made improvements sense.

the sky crane is great fun, and the crane works really well, the blue sky is the slandered 2 channel air hogs airplane but it has a camera and it's 2.4 GHz, stay tuned for the reviews.
