Hello! tell me what settings you use to record with the DVX100B. Detail Level: V Detail Level: Detail Coring: Chroma Level: Chroma Phase: Color Temp: Master Ped: A.Iris Level: Gamma: Knee: Matrix: Skin Tone Dtl: V Detail: Progressive: Shutter speed: I'd appreciate it.
@santimoni hey, thanks for watching...To be honest, in every situation my settings were completely different. I wish I could answer your question, but I don't quite remember all the all of them...I will say again, I always tweaked them regardless.I never used the same setting for everything...It always depended on the scene/production. Sorry I couldn't help with that. Thanks for coming across my video, I appreciate you watching:)
Hey! I just wanted to say that I tried that settings that you suggested and it worked out amazingly!!! I never thought of using 1/60 shutter speed with 24p cuz i thought it was going to create more interlacing for some reason but it came out a lot better! Thanks SOOOO much for the help, I've been trying to combat this pesky interlacing issue since I got the DVX 4 years ago (sad I know haha) but thanks to your suggestion my footage looks a lot better so thank you!! :)))
@filmlover0101 Hey man! Im stoked it worked out for ya! I was hoping that would do the trick. If you have any other questions, feel free to hit me up! Glad its looking better!
very nice work with the dvx! Did you shoot in 24p? How did you not get any interlacing? It seems like every time I shoot in 24p the footage is practically unusable due to so much interlacing :/
@filmlover0101 Hey thanks alot, I appreciate it! Yes I did shoot in 24p ( I actually sold that camera, so forgive me if my settings aren't exactly what they are really called) I would shoot in 24p 16 X 9 SQUEEZE MODE. I used the fourth of fifth settin type (ie cinegamma or something like that) I also went into my settings alot and messed with the Detail levels, color temps, and anything I could get my hands on. I also tried as much as possible to shoot in a 1/60 shutter speed.
@filmlover0101 I would also like to add that if I ever saw a problem with interlacing, its minimal and I used my Deinterlacing effect in Final Cut to solve the problem. Hope this helps in any way:)
Great work. Question.. any reason to hold onto a DVX100B at this point? Wy are people buying them on ebay? Student films or is there a real need for non HD cameras?
@namastemedia hey thanks fro the kind words! Yeah, I think at this point it's almost hard to use a DVX 100-B and compete with what others are producing (considering some of the smallest new camcorders are Full HD). It's a great camera...don't get me wrong, but it seems with the HD movement and DSLR cameras being widely used for video..The DVX 100B is kind of the old way of doing things. I still think its a great camera that brought some amazing quality to the table!
@namastemedia The dvx100b is a main stay for people who want a film look that is not overly detailed like the DSLRS. I made a short that would of lost a lot of emotion if shot on a dslr.
@BrickFilmFest My recomendation would be the DVX 100...I have worked with both, and the DVX 100B has a far better picture quality than the GL2. Thanks for watching!
@ElPandaDeLaAccion I bought my used over two years ago...You'll get a better price used..Just try and get one with low amount CAMERA HOURS on it. Thanks for watching...You can do alot with the DVX100B..Its a great camera!
this is a great track. Q. 100a or 110b?
