this docu has shown the wide margin of poverty of the badjo people versus the ignorance and uncaring policy of the local and national govt. the system is more in the enforcement of stupid rules and laws that are not in the benefit of the people instead of giving oppurtunities, education and social welfare benefit for the kids. If individuals of the likes of the DWSS employes and the govt system whos rationality is plainly stupidity and uncaring, no wonder the poverty condition will not changed.

I hate DSWS abrupt reaction considering that they are not doing their JOB!Government is so pretentious! They wanna help but they are not willing to put that in action. This video is nothing but breathtaking. It shows the reality of life. This video touch my heart. I hope that this would be the eye opener for everyone. I hope that every individual should extend their helping hands to help and support them. These children put their life in risk just to survive against the cruelty of life. They endure the heat of the sun...just to earn money. So, i hope that everyone should open their hearts to do something good for them.
Your video documentary paints the painful, sad picture of transformation that the Badjao has gone through, from being adventurous, seafaring gypsies to inland slum dwellers, in just 200 years. I can't imagine other Philippine tribals going through the same pain.

The govt should, i think, provide the resources, whatsoever for poor people to make a living thru jobs etc. Not literally feeding them....or they'll end up not knowing and trying to stand by themselves. In a way, i agree with you. I am not pinpointing who is to be blamed. My opinion is that PARENTHOOD comes with RESPONSIBILITY. That's very basic. People tend to find fault on the govt many times, well, with all the obvious corruptions, who wouldnt? I haven't even voted for a long time even, unconvinced of the dedication to serve by some politicians. But on the other hand, we do sometimes fail to see what wrong we have done on our part. This video is nothing but breathtaking. It shows the reality of life. This video touch my heart. I hope that this would be the eye opener for everyone. I hope that every individual should extend their helping hands to help and support them. These children put their life in risk just to survive against the cruelty of life. They endure the heat of the sun...just to earn money. So, i hope that everyone should open their hearts to do something good for them.

Your video documentary paints the painful, sad picture of transformation that the Badjao has gone through, from being adventurous, seafaring gypsies to inland slum dwellers, in just 200 years. I can't imagine other Philippine tribals going through the same pain.

The govt should, i think, provide the resources, whatsoever for poor people to make a living thru jobs etc. Not literally feeding them....or they'll end up not knowing and trying to stand by themselves. To have a solution is a long process, esp both parties need "cleaning up". Again, my congratulations to your group for a job well done!

In a way, i agree with you. I am not pinpointing who is to be blamed. My opinion is that PARENTHOOD comes with RESPONSIBILITY. That's very basic. People tend to find fault on the govt many times, well, with all the obvious corruptions, who wouldnt? I haven't even voted for a long time even, unconvinced of the dedication to serve by some politicians. But on the other hand, we do sometimes fail to see what wrong we have done on our part. Vote buying/selling....

YUP I strongly agree with your point. Most of the times people in places like these, tend to think of Procreating as means of stress relief and enjoyment and they also add to their point that it's the only thing left that's free of charge these days :) Family Planning would only take that freedom away, so they say. hehehe. hopefully, the gov't will not just sit down and continue to make policies and ordinances, but stand up from where they are comfortable and practice what they Preach rather than sitting pretty in their offices and just waiting for something to happen before they make a move... I hope...
