The chick sings great, the rest of the band are killer players and then, in the typical current cliché fashion, they have to have a male singer who doesn't know how to sing, just grunts like a constipated orangutan. Very commonplace these days so obviously somebody likes it, but it's a fucking cop-out not to learn how to sing. Lame.

We have hundreds, maybe thousands, of so called "heavy metal" bands. Battlelore from eastern town of Lappeenranta is one of them.

Our best selling band of "heavy" genre is Nightwish and it has roots in the eastern Finland too, Kitee to be precise. A very little community near a russian border :D

There are loads of girls who love metal, you just have to know where to find them. I'm 20, female and I've listened to metal since I was very little coz my parents are both metal heads. Concerts to me are the best way to meet people. When I went to see Dimmu Borgir I met loads of people from all over the world and they were awesome.

Maybe their lyrics are like Metal lyrics, but it's still full of vocals without any skills as e.g. you can hear at ZP Theart, Chris Barnes or Trevor Strnad and having a computer generated, looping track in the background. Compared to Metal, it's a HUGE difference in quality and will, impartial seen, always be in the poor depths of low-class.

Although women do seem to be in the minority. of the metal concerts that I've been to Id say the men outnumber the women 5 t o1 Though this was at a Death metal concert. I think if your talking about bands like Nightwish, Epica and other female fronted bands there are more women. Most women dont like Extreame metal like Death and Black metal
