you can always upgrade the digital decoder for sound and motion like I did. couldn't stand the 2-chuffs per revolution anymore so had it ripped out and upgraded to Zimo MX690V with synchronized smoke unit. not only is it the correct 4-chuffs per revolution, but I've ridden on these actual Harz trains before, and the other sounds are quite accurate as well. love the short starting toot!
I own one made by Lehmann Gross Bahn.. real nice,,, mine is still mint boxed--- but plan on taking her out for a test drive soon. Oh, and for the nut & rivet counters... if you owned one, you would be over the moon, so who cares about the bell being wrong or the chuff rate being out. She is a beautiful model and worth having in the roundhouse.. The pulse smoke generator is also worth a +++ comment! (yours was off by the looks of it)
@TheGondorian thats LGBs nearlly $4000 doler model of te ones on the HSB ok hmm Interesting that one would definatlly be on my shelf as a display that bell is way off but I guess we are alone on knowing that LOL
@TheGondorian not really just the whistle but no bell I assume thats an LGB add in here for effect but no i dont recall every hreaing a bell even that day I photographed the two service trains when I missed the group but no bell
That 2-10-2 is magnificent and the way you ran it at realistic speed really showed how well engineered these locos are. How often do you see someone, having spent apx $10,000 on a layout, then go and spoil it by having a steam engine chase its tail around a curve at a scale speed of 180 KPH. Very well done..
No, but there should be four chufs per revolution. Each cylender makes to chuffs for each revolution, so combine the two together, and you'd get four chuffs for every revolution. Watch carefully on a real steam loco
I've heard the same argument after reading the Garden Railways Magazine reviewon the engine and there isn't any way to adjust the chuff on the locomotives system.
Hallo, its very nice to look your video with slow speeds. Greats from Hannover near Harz! Georg Westphal

This is an extremely beautiful locomotive. I remember when it was first announced, I put a picture of it as my background :)

Is there a way to double the chuffs per wheel revolution, from two to four?
steamtom1 3 years ago
I am no LGB railroader, maybe there is such a sound decoder. But it is not very realistic. This narrow gauge loco doesn´t have 4 cylinders!
