This song reminded me of a beautiful and wonderful Mexican lady I know, so I sent it to her. Then I found out what it means in English and I hope I'm not in trouble. Or should I say, anymore trouble! :)~
This song makes me want to call everybody I love and dance with them. Transends beauty. It is at a different level in our soul and who ever wrote it has internal beauty few of us will ever see.
This song reminds me of sunday afternoons at the beach in Oceanside Califas. Those were the days a little Mexican boy growing up in Aztlan... I was young and stupid back then... Now I'm just stupid... Already 33 and living in New York... I need to get out of here and go back home to Califas... Soon.. pretty soon.
This song is absolutely amazing. It gives me chills after all these years. Luis Miguel's and others' versions don't even come close to the beauty of this version. CLASSIC!!
Ersi Arvizu is the fabulous singer of this classic song. She recorded this with El Chicano in their second album "Revolution". She is from East LA, California. She is from a musical family and sang with her sisters, Mary and Rosella Arvizu. Ersi is the greatest singer of this song that I have heard. She suprasses the great Luis Miguel's wonderful performance of this song. Check out Luis Miguel's offering.
The soundtrack to a million slow-dances back in the day. Pure romance.

One of the best Spanish love songs of the Chicano era. Wonderful with magic and fire.
I would love to learn what the lyrics are
and wish to sing this song in Spanish in
the near future.
So much passion and fire and is stunning
to hear. Incredible vocals and ensemble.
Wonderful musical arrangement !!
