i was lucky enough to hear this band on the radio during the late 70s. i even wrote their name down so that i woudn't forget. the next day, i found a copy of this lp, as well as their next release. too bad they weren't more famous outside mexico, but i'm glad a number of their recordings were available in the states. i've always wondered how popular they were in mexico...
Qué pena que Eugenio haya terminado su vida, si la industria no estuviera enfocada en producir cantorcillos de plástico e infames interprétes, quizá hoy día el legado de SACBÉ, fuese más copioso de lo que hoy tenemos.
Ójala que allá donde este Eugenio no tenga trabas y que su jazz resuene por toda la eternidad!
