Maiden , Slayer , Anthrax and Megadeth were my 1st introduction too metal.

I'd heard of Metallica around the same time but only got into them when Master Of Puppets was released. Sepultura was another great band. Never cared for anything after Choas A.D. though. Especially when Max left to do soulfly.
