  • the hit on hendricks was worse!

  • asshole left the skates.

  • He led high with the shoulder, Everything comes back around, seen it way too many times. And what is it with him going after fellow countrymen ?

  • Обожаю русских комментаторов. Как четко они описывают события происходящие на льду..

  • I'm sorry I only speak English, not French.

  • the only reason why he gets 3 games is because the penguins are gary betmans little baby.. and crosby is his little daughter.. and nobody messes with his daughters team bunch of pansies the pens are theses are the same guys who got their asses kicked by a bunch of 19 and 20 year olds in new york hahah

  • clean as a whistle

  • @JTruupold leaving the ice isn't clean.

  • Hit was okay, i mean that he did hit with his shoulder but he left his skates so its kind a 50/50 would i give a penalty, no.

  • The prick deserved it.

  • clean

  • @Kazak844

sorry, we dont speak poverty. your continent sucks.

  • америкосы вы козлы !

  • Pussy suspension by a Canadian run league..Ovi first makes contact shoulder to shoulder but a smaller defensemen drops his upper body on the boards! This didnt even deserve a penalty! I have called games for 20 years and it makes me sick to see the league coming down on this guy or any other hard checking power forward.

  • I have a solution.

Take away the PVC plastic shoulder pads and elbow pads.

Helmets, pants, shin pads and wooden sticks only.

    Problem solved.

  • com/watch?v=oR9CbEJPTxU&feature=related

  • А как это прокомментируете,тупые янки? в том же матче,тоже довольно грубо,но только 2 мин ........

  • The point is that he left the ice with his skate before he hit him. You clearly don't know anything about hockey or taken a hit like this. Dirty hit, good call.

  • Zaebat chyvachok

  • hes suspended for 3 games for that hit

  • 2 Min in the box.. not a 3 game suspension.. fuckin soft league.

  • @BruinsBest charging and hit to the head? yeah that's definitely only 2 minutes in the box…………...

  • @xkillingxtime He hit his shoulder first.

  • @BruinsBest he still jumped and his his head against the glass

  • @BruinsBest its the definition of a head check, shanny flips out every time

  • what would people be saying without the luxury of slow motion cameras?

  • Дацук has refused a match of all stars in 2011. Овечкин in 2012. Nobody wants to play a match of all "stars" from Russian. Russian is best do hits. Canadians - dirty game. Have broken Kharlamov. Have broken to the Drill.

  • but three game suspension

  • Михалек выглядит как дечока заплаканная, платочек не кому дать, уродец маленький

  • i once recall the NHL advisors talking about how they're impressed with Ovechkin's hits and how clean they are. For someone who hits as much as him, it is impressive how clean he does it. Ov barely jumped. upon impact his skate was still touching the ice. This is just a good role model to the other players showing how ANY head contact will deserve suspensions. they are just using Ov as an example.

  • @condomadventures no they arent lol, they have already had tons of examples, you can clearly see how far his skates come off the ice before he hits him, and it you ever played a decent level of hockey you would know that he clearly had to jump with some force to have his skates that far off the ice

  • @eight634 i didn't say he didn't jump bud.

  • One pole less.....

  • Michalek Can elbow Hendricks head into the boards that's ok he gets nothing we all know what team the NHL dick rides the most.

  • @juzu4meisahomo Kris Letang was suspended this year, and James Neal was fined for a high stick on PK Subban, even though Subban tripped him and caused the whole incident.

That said, I do think Michalek should've gotten something; still doesn't exonerate Ovechkin though.

  • @Hockeygod98 I understand that i'm not making a excuse for Ovechkin but dickhead shanahan wants to make the game safe only fines for the elbow to the back of the head? He could have broke his neck or injure him Ovi did jump yes but he hit his shoulder first and got his head a bit 1 game suspension is fine but 3? come on

  • @juzu4meisahomo Rightly or not, Shanahan puts a lot of weight into whether a player has a history of making dirty plays or not. Ovechkin has a long track record of dirty plays, stretching back before he was ever actually disciplined for them. Michalek doesn't. That's just the way Shanahan has operated.

  • @juzu4meisahomo And you're upset with 3 games? Cooke got 17. That'd be fine if that was some sort of standard, but Raffi Torres got warnings in consecutive games, and has a history of dirty hits himself, and he got a slap on the wrist comparatively. Cooke deserved a long suspension, but the more people are suspended in the Shanahan era, the more it looks like the Cooke suspension last season was just done to keep up appearances and quiet the mob.

The suspensions do seem to lack coherency.

  • @Hockeygod98 What they should do is if you injure a player and that player is out say for 2 weeks the player who cause the injury should sit out til the other one is better? that's just my opinion would never happen tho.

  • @juzu4meisahomo I've thought about that before too. The main problem I see is the potential abuse. Say it's the playoffs and Ovechkin takes a run at Steve McIntyre, and injures him. You'd be foolish to medically clear McIntyre before the series was over, even if was actually totally healthy at some point before that.

I don't know. I just don't see consistency. It's much better than Colin Cambell's Wheel of Justice now, but I'm still baffled at some of Shanahan's decisions sometimes.

  • Ovi is out 3 games because of the hit Ovi in game got nothing

  • Zbynek Michalek hit on hendricks was worse and he got NOTHING.

  • HIT OF THE YEAR!!!

  • Грубо!

  • вроде ничего страшного-зря дисквалифицировали((

  • все правильно сделал!

  • both hits were criminal ones IMO, i was blind first but Ovy left his feet and Michaleks hit was a dirty as well, 2-4 games though.

  • Wow Shanahan is an fucking idiot. How is one hit to the head different from another hit to the head? Yes, Ovechkin deserved a suspension but so does Michalek for boarding and elbowing Hendricks' head/face into the glass. It amazes me how retarded someone can be.b He's contradicting himself. What a DUMBASS.

  • спорное решение!!!

  • I'm a Capitals fan and that was a scary dirty hit by Ovechkin. Hopefully he'll learn his lesson and not do it again, he's better than that. He usually hits his opponents at full speed and just run players over like he's a freight train.

  • Скоро НХЛ будет похоже на фигурное катание, если за такое удаляют на 3 игры - кошмар, куда катится хоккей в НХЛ?

  • Yes, he left his feat a few inches, but honestly, this league is going to be so soft in the next few years, and it's only going to cause more injuries because players aren't going to be expecting the big hits anymore. FFS The sedin sister soccer players are going to combine for 300 points once hitting is gone.

  • damn Ovi. you would have fucked him up without leaving the ice!

  • Well you pens fans got what you wanted, a suspension for a check that should of only been a 2 minute minor for charging. Yay for inconsistency, who knows, maybe next year your captain will get to come back since the league will be full non-contact and players will wear flags like in flag football

  • dirty son of a bitch!... 3 games aint enough

  • Mackaleks hit was worse.

  • hmm actually this one would've been ok hit without the jump..

  • Ovi is not a dirty player, but He breaks out these cheap shots every few games, and Shanny can't let him get away with it anymore. Just cause he is a Superstar (at least by title, his stats dont really say so), doesn't mean he shout be able to get away with dirty hits like this. Give hime 2 games, and these actions will begin to stop.

  • stop being such pussies...its hockey and if you can't handle it, join the chess club

  • @MrJuha82 do you know how to speak English?

  • well looks like he left his feet after watching several times, not easy to judge and no clear intention to hurt a guy, i dont think a players dont wanna kill each other. They arent monsters but humans. I remember from past McSporleys slash on Brash which was animal, no hockey but this hit is more a dirty bec he left his feet but nothing wrong with attempt to hit his opponent, its not so easy to avoid a head in these situations, i was hockey player and i know the fact.

  • As a big Caps fan I really don't want Ovi I get suspended, but he left his feet, you can't do that anymore. I remember last year he got suspended for a hit similar to this.

  • A) He has no puck B) He jumped C) Head hit = big fail.

  • @MikaHakkinen83 he played the puck for other defenseman and got nailed by Ovy, he lost the puck but about one or two second after that got hitted with big way. No clear intention to hurt a guy, didnt see he left his feet, looked like his skate goes air a bit but looks to me that Ovechkin landed his hit first and after that his skates goes to air for moment. Clean hit, because no elbow or no clear jumping, he just finished his check for player who was playing the puck in the corner.

  • @MrJuha82

You're crazy. He obviously left his feet, and targeted the head. If the NHL didn't worship him in Crosby's absence, this would be at least a 5 game suspension. Especially since Ovechkin is a repeat offender who has been suspended on multiple occasions for dirty hits.

  • @josiahdd not sure did he left his feet but no clear intention to hit to the head.

Looks to me Ovy tryed to hit to the shoulder of his victim but in these situations its not easy to avoids a opponents head. Most of the time players got nailed badly in the games and no suspensions, most of the time the hits are clean and great ones.

Hits to the shoulder, stomach, chest and head, but i think it wasnt targeted to the head but accidentally landed to the head, Ovy is bigger than his opponen

  • @josiahdd Ovechkins hit on Tuomo Ruutu wasnt dirty or ??? i watched it today and it wasnt targetted to the head.

  • @MrJuha82 What on earth are you talking about? Who is talking about Ruutu?

  • @MrJuha82

"looks to me that Ovechkin landed his hit first and after that his skates goes to air for moment"

lol, go get some fucking glasses.

ladies and gents, we have ourselves an ovechkin fanboy.

  • @joyfulvulture i was blind yes, both hits were "criminal" ones IMO. Ovys hit was wrong because left his feet and Michaleks hit was wrong because using elbow/hand . Both needs to get punished, i hope 2-4 games.

  • @MikaHakkinen83 the hit is still questionable as i have no 100% clear opinion from this but definetely no clear intention to hurt his opponent.

  • Надеюсь на длительную дискву!

  • Оторвал коньки, это фол

  • russians get out of my youtube (;

  • @AnttiFantti3

Shut up your fuking mouth, girl!

  • Nice hit!

  • Всё чисто,Збынек всё видел и неправильно сгруппировался,словно подсел...

  • @alexlip48 словно очко сжалось. Хороший хит. Ови молодец!

  • A typical Russian player. Even if he has the skills to play the game, he still loses his control occasionally and has to be an ape like that.

  • @tupajumi A typical finnish comment.

  • @JamesMyronM I wouldn't say it's a typical Finnish comment. I'd say it's a typical comment. Everyone who has seen the way Russia plays in the international games knows that they're not too good at controlling their nerves.

  • @tupajumi What do you know that in hockey blunt Finn? Finland is third-rate hockey country. Do not you stupid Finns talk about hockey.

  • @EbloNumberOne Oh lol, what a poser. I don't even understand your Runglish. Well, what can you expect from such a subhuman teenager like EbloNumeberOne?

  • @tupajumi I said that Finland is third-rate hockey country. The Finns are blunt and do not understand hockey. What is not clear?

  • @EbloNumberOne I've decided not to feed trolls like you, ma'am.

  • @EbloNumberOne Teemu Selanne. Your point is moot.

  • @tupajumi, I did not the Russian people...How much more blatant hatred of all things Russian at the "progressive" side of humanity, already trembling on the body...Many people think they are kings of the universe, and the difference between them and Papuan of the Congo in how well the economy is built in their countries...Sorry for Runglish...

  • @tupajumi Ah, so you say that the Canadian players never "loses their control"?

or maybe the swedish, finnish, america, or where the hell you're from.

Fucking monkey, don't write a comment on youtube if you're jealous of a great hockey player.

  • @Got4borgar4n I never said that. Apparently it's too much for your donkey brains to comprehend. And I'm not jealous. I admitted that he has skill. Your logic is severely flawed, ma'am.

  • @tupajumi Yes you fucking did. "He's a typcal russian player", indirect that means that's the only players who do these kind of things. Maybe you're monkey brains ain't handling the pressure.

I sense a Crosby-4-life-guy! I like him, but Ovy is better.

  • @Got4borgar4n No, I didn't. Read the sentence and try to understand it. I never claimed that only Russians do such things, I merely said that it's typical for a Russian player. There's a huge difference which you don't seem to understand. What pressure? The pressure of lousy, Swenglish and Runglish speaking trolls on youtube?

And no, I don't like Crosby. Your shot at being Sherlock Holmes failed miserably, ma'am.

  • @tupajumi As i said, indirectly you mean that only russian players do that.

When you're brain's overheating, the pressure raises.

I can see that you're brain has been taking damage since you can't understand what you write.

The Swenglish and Runglish people on YouTube are the comments you choose to not to continue reading or even comment on.

Crosby is a wus when it comes to intimidations.

  • @Got4borgar4n You just don't get it, do you? Read the sentence all over again for as long as it takes for you to comprehend it. Feel free to take your time.

I'll give you a free advice. The next you try to be Mrs. Funny Guy, please, read and understand the meaning of the post you're replying to first. Thank you.

  • @tupajumi Hey, clevor guy. You are really polite and mature to call me "Mrs.", when you don't even know which sex i am. I definitly understand about how old you are.

You still don't seem to understand the undermeaning of your god damn sentance.

    Good day little fuck.

  • He jumped, so there is no question it was a foul

  • @BigAngeloSantorini there are no fouls in hockey. penalties

  • @WakeTheDead300 Your answer was a foul

  • @BigAngeloSantorini

Yes there is a big question! Watch this and tell me the difference:

    watch?v=W3jiS0DY_uM

  • @BigAngeloSantorini Foul? i think you're watching the wrong sport

  • Foul?

  • Czech - Russia, fixed

  • "Keep feets on the ice" rule is not working now. Just remember Russia - Canada semifinals in Calgary

  • Super hit! Ovechkin a real man!

  • fuck ovi, guy better get suspended, greasy hit

  • Anybody see the NHL videos with Brendan Shanahan, explaining the suspensions? If this act is reviewed, as it should be, this is a clear cut suspension of at least 3 games! 1.He left his feet and launched into Michalek 2. Michalek suffered no immediate injury 3. Ovechkin has had several suspensions and fines in the past during his career. He has NO respect for player safety, & refuses to play within the NHL safety guidelines. Matt Cooke changed, why won't Ovechkin? NO repercussions thats why!

  • Dirty head shot!

  • michalek's hit on hendricks earlier in this same game should be a suspention. this hit not a suspention because he deserved it and initial contact is not with the head

  • @ggqbc it's charging

  • @NYIslander12 charging does not merit a suspention

  • @ggqbc

A hit to the head for a repeat offender does. Look at his history, multiple suspensions for illegal and dirty hits.

  • "WHY YOU EFF BE MAD" _Ilya Bryzgolov

  • its not soccer...

  • @Braves4MRC wtf...? that comment has zero relevance to the situation.

  • lmfao shut up kids, theres been way dirtier hits than this

  • @Braves4MRC yeah, but that doesn't mean it shouldn't be a suspension.

  • Suspension. If you disagree, please never watch hockey ever again.

  • umm..

  • suspension

  • left his feet completely

  • Only Ovechkin can leave his feet and not get called for it.

  • Ouch
