  • You blind idiot these drs today know nothing his clothing is falling off him he is beyond thin he is PAINFULLY THIN he was medicated so he could move like that AEG PUSHED THIS, they also took different shoots and edited the video,Mike couldn't even make it thru one whole song, HE DID NOT EVEN MOONWALK DID NO ONE SEE THIS????? HE WAS ILL AND HE WAS ON THE MEDS FOR HIS PAINS HE HAD DANCERS FEET HE WAS IN AGONY AND TIRED, how else woulddhe have gotten thru any of it without pain meds? :-(,,

  • Short of breath though.

  • The papers say, that his heart was healthy... I just DON`T understand his death.

  • Now we know the truth. It was the doctor why he died.

  • He Was Not frail...!! He Was 50 For Gods Sake!!!! Show Me Another 50 year Old That Can Dance Like That?? Just Leave Him alone Hes Not Here To Defend Himself So Stop Analizing Him! Dr Conrad Murray Is To Blame For This not Michaels Thin-ness!!!!!

  • Poor thing, he would never be able to handle 50 shows

  • There was not 1 time i can say Michael is looking a lil thick.....Miichael has ALWAYS been skinny! I was Comparing things nd he looks as he did wen he was wearing that gold outfit in da history tour....So bcuz hes 50 means he can''t b skinny?? c i wuddve made a fuss if hes this skinny nd "WEAK" as they say....he wasnt weak here...pple remember This isn't a A LIVE performance its only practice y go all out?? nd besides he still looks well here hes moving pretty well....

    I Love You Michael!!!!

  • most real performers will know that on the night it's different you give a lot more! The rehearsal he moving around letting the crew know where to expect him on stage.

  • why would he be giving it his all, when it's only rehearsals anyway? previous rehearsals show him doing sort of "halfsies" performances too...

people read too much into this, just because it's MJ. He had no problems, he always took care of himself to the umpteenth degree, and so on - he was killed by an overdose... nothing else makes sense.

  • they need to release more footage of these rehearsals, so it can be settled if this is just a song he could do, because of lesser moves, or if he really was allright.

  • Who is this idiot reporting for CNN. As if no one knows that MJ is skinny and has been for the past 30 years. Thank God for Gupta's analysis. These so called journalist should do their homework when reporting on stories.

  • I was shocked when I saw this clip because I've never seen MJ look this emaciated. MJ said he would lose 10 lbs after every show, so this is no condition for him to be in to start 50 concert dates.

  • in fairness to MJ, he said he was gonna start eating alot more when it came time to perform... but we'll find out on October 30th how the shows would've went!!

  • Yeah, but if it's just the rehearsals, he won't be going full out, so I'm afraid it'll cause people to believe he would have been less good than he really would have been with an audience. He got drew in energy from the audience.

  • To Piszczeck, first of all you can't lose 10lbs a show, that's rediculous, he would lose 4 to 5lbs a night. He has always been skinny. After that rehearsal he would have had at least 2 to 3weeks to put more weight on but we all know what happened. So in essence there was nothing strange about his physique.

  • MJ said he would weigh himself before and after each show and he would always lose 10 lbs, and there would be sweat all over the stage. That's what he said. I'm the same age as MJ, and I've never seen him look alarmingly bad like he does here. Yes, he's still HOT, but I was shocked the minute I saw him in this rehearsal footage.

  • It doesn,nt matter if you are skinny or fat at the age of 50.......anyone cn have a heart attack....but the sad thing about MJ IS that none of his vessels bursted or where blocked to cause this heart attack...or to say that his heart failed on him due to old age......at the moment his death is a mystery.........to be solved....

  • Dr. Gupta is full of crap. Michael Effing Stipe is 50 years old and is skinny--hell, my own _granddad_ was nearly 80 before he died, rest in peace, and he was skinny. Men don't have a lot of body fat, morans! Sheesh! Even doctors should know that, I guess unless you're paid shills on CNN.

  • he has always been skinny though

r.i.p michael miss you so much

  • Well didn't Madonna look skinny and crazily fit on her Sticky and Sweet tour? A lot of 50 yr olds don't look like her either. She and Michael put on the best shows!!

    love you MJ

  • That's what I was thinking. Also, Prince recently completed 21 nights in London and he is the same age as Madonna and Michael. These are superstars, not your average, flabby 50 year olds!

  • check out "the king is gone" on youtube, it's a tribute to Michael.

  • 50 shows!!! WOW! That's a lot of exhausting work. I absolutely agree that AEG pushed Michael to the brink. They killed him without mercy and they knew he had lupus. This is what I call a crime of opportunity. After all he went through and being 50 they worked him to death. May God have him in His tender care. He was indeed a legend. The best dancer that ever lived. RIP. The world will miss him indeed!

  • 3 shows a week over 3 years?

why does that seem so impossible to you people?

  • It wasn't spread out over 3 years. It was 2.4 shows a week. Also, there's a lot more work for MJ to do on a tour than just perform. He said he hates to tour because he goes through hell. And he said he never wanted to do it after age 40. And he said you only see older black artists touring because the record companies take advantage of them so they have to. Something was terribly wrong for him to be doing this, especially without a new album to promote. Blackmail?

  • Try debt.

And he wouldnt BE on tour - he'd be in one place.

It sounds cushy to me. Once rehearsals are complete, it's roughly 3 shows a week, and offtime the rest of the week... apart maybe from the odd interview here or there.

132 shows while travelling the globe wasnt impossible to him... why would a cushy little thing like this be?

  • The Sony/ATV catalog alone is worth 1 billion $. That doesn't even include his Mijac catalog of his own songs & all his other assets. I believe the Jackson attorney when he says the estate is worth 2 billion $. The media was telling everyone that MJ was bankrupt & broke, but he never was. They still won't admit that his estate is worth more than 500 million. They were shocked when they found out the estate was solvent. They don't want to admit a black man had that much money.

  • The touring he in younger days almost killed him bc he had to have an anesthetist knock him out with Propofol & monitor him all night long just so he could get through it. MJ had potentially life-threatening discoid lupus, which is sensitive to stress, & can be extremely painful, hence the occasional bouts in a wheel chair the the use of pain medications. I don't believe he was in trouble financially. Jermaine said he wasn't in financial trouble, & that's what they want you to think.

  • money was the reason he had to do this tour. He was only iving in rented accomodation and he had millions of debt

  • @gerryff 437 Million

  • Rick Sanchez, when you're FAT and OVER WEIGHT, of course, MJ would look skinny. Are u really concerned?

It seems like you're trying to get Dr. Gupta to agree with you. Two ppl don't always see things alike.

  • it has been a week almost and I still can't beleive it that he is gone. He will be missed man

  • Does anyone know for sure if MJ is singing or miming here..I presume he's miming...????

  • in some rehearsals he was miming, but he was singing live in others... obviously, he was planning to sing live in the shows..

    R.I.P michael jackson!! :'(

  • I <3 this song and Michael...I just got the MJ ringtone at mjtones. com :)

  • Er war ein ENTERTAINER! Sein Rhythmus, sein Tanz, sein Gesang!!!!!!!!Vielen Dank dafür!!!

    MJ`s lives for ever

    Dresden/germany

  • I agree but you dont have to be so cold about it! Have some respect MJ was the King man show respect!

  • ...Your proof?

  • Whatever mate have a nice day!

  • asshole

  • the good dr. rocks...........dr. gupta you would have made an excellant surgion gnrl.

glad you dident take the job.

  • it feels like hes still here like hes STILL gonna do his tour like its STILL gonna be amazing...like we're STILL gonna get to see him ...... thats how you KNOW it wasnt his time to go because we still feel like hes here. i just feel like he was gonna live till like 100 something ya know.....

  • I think some kind of trial is coming.

  • its wierd seeing him with out his signature highwaters :)

  • anyone know who the guitarist is? she's kinda cute

  • probably Jennifer Batten, she always used to play with him.

  • AEG wanted MJ to end up breaking the contract so that they could have a windfall of settlement cash from penalties for MJ not playing every single show. That meant that all his assets would be up in the air, including the Sony music catalog. That's now worth $1B. AEG set him up to fail. The advisors he had around him screwed him over too. Poor guy. Naive, full of groove, full of love, and taken advantage of his entire life for: Money. Sad.

  • Why were the amount of concerts from 10 to 50??? Who signed the contract?? Omfg...such a conspiracy!!

  • Comment removed

  • AEG is trying to cover their asses in terms of PR. Releasing video to make everyone think MJ was fine so they look good. AEG pushed MJ's "people" for 50 shows (1 every other night!) when MJ only thought it was 10 shows (1 every 5 nights). That makes AEG look evil after what has happened. They pushed MJ to the brink. MJ meant nothing to AEG or MJ's "people". They could care less about anything except money and keeping their "image". We'll be seeing a lot of maneuvering by AEG, just watch.

  • You have to remember who the AEG Chairman of the Board is Philip Frederick Anschutz . Mr. Anschutz is the 31st Richest person in the U.S. worth an estimated $7.8 Billion and who is the owner of the O2 venue in London where Michael Jackson was scheduled to perform his "This Is It" tour. Mr. Anschutz and his executive team at AEG knew what they were doing by overbooking Michael Jackson on his concert tour. It comes down to one word for both parties involved. The Almighty Dollar ! I rest my case

  • You better believe AEG is going to cover their asses in terms of PR ! On the night before Michael Jackson died AEG did a full rehearsal with cameras rolling and a multi-track system recording all of MJ's songs. Now AEG is seriously proposing turning the video into a huge final concert video and album as a tribute to MJ's fans. AEG is going to milk this tragedy for every last penny and laugh all the way to the bank in the process !
