Great Job Guys! I had the pleasure of finding a JX-305 New at an auction & picked it up for $630 for the studio. This machine is Mind- Boggling! When combined with Behringer Power, and Polk Monitor 40's, the sound quality Outweighs Outstanding! This unit Alone will carry us farther, Faster than Ever before!! Joseph ~ Owen: CEO/Pres. & Founder TN.-Valley Music, Sound, IT & Engineering Enterprises, LLC "When it REALY Matters, we'll see You in TN.-Valley!"
Ha ha ha, you paid $630 for this piece of shit? 4 real? You must be dumb
Its funny because this 'synth'. is based off on rolands older machines.. TR 909, TR 808, alpha juno, juno 106, TB 303 and SH 101..
I would have used the money on an Alpha juno instead. Its analog (not that its better) and it got a nice filter. It sounds a little harsh, But compared to this, is it like 1000 times better.
@pomfrit93 It is you, Sir, who is misinformed. Having all of those classic machines in one package when they were hard to come-by. Software synths were still super expensive and not as easy to mess with. All the knobs and ability to multi-track and build songs on one unit is great. Keep engineering and leave the experimenting to those who are not so limited.
It will take a person a lifetime to know this synth.
The secrets inside are mind boggling. Ignor the clueless & think top of the range workstation. Open one up & see the sound board. The folk who think they know it all about this synth actually know naff all.
The JX-305 is a similar story to what Roland have done with the Juno Gi. It was based on their flagship synths of the day but dummed down for the folk who know nothing.
I'll never part with mine. NEVER! If you see one cheap let me know!
I have this keyboard. I'm not much of a keys player but I liked it over the more popular microkorg because it has roughly 10x the sounds in it's bank. These things are pretty much dirt cheap and cost far less than a sound module that has a quarter of the sounds.
Hi! Im Benjamin Timpouner(? wtf) And i am more of a rock player.. The JX 305 has all the bread and butter sounds i need...... WTF? Who said sellout musicians?
@BluePlanetMedia This video is called Roland JX305 Groovesynth walk through part 2 (2nd part). Divide this movie in 2 halfs, first half is the first part of this second part, and the 2nd half is the second part of the second part. Put blunt, I like the part from about 4:30 and up in this video.
Nice monitor! XD, Loomeer305 is the Master of the JX-305! "The hold feature frees up my hands to do whatever I want." lol! 8====D~~~~~~

@BluePlanetMedia Might be a good starter, but paying 630 $ for this roland chunk is just mad

@LPChip Was it the shinny green shirt? I would have to edit and re-upload. I will edit future videos with your advice in mind.

@BluePlanetMedia No, not at all. Its just that I'm more into the kind of music played in the second half. It grabbed me more so to speak. :)
