It was going to come out on the 3DS anyway and even though I, as well as many others loved it, it was the most unpopular Megaman series ever made. So there you have it. These are the biggest 2 reasons why it was doomed from the beginning and why people should not have gotten their hopes up, besides Keiji Inafune leaving Capcom. Oh, and before you troll me about my 3DS comment, look at the latest edition of Game Informer. Capcom has turned into Crapcom. ... GO PLAY SKYRIM!!!

@Djstudiosgold That's their talent. Square Enix's is to ruin every franchise that used to be good, and Konami's is...well...I guess they're not too bad. But the whole "multiplayer Silent Hill" thing is just...painful to even think about. Game developers in general don't really understand their fan bases anymore, and the saddest part of this is that they actually have the balls to blame us fans for the downfall of some of our favorite games. That was Capcom's excuse with Mega Man Legends 3.

@IndalecioCeleste I know what Konamis problem is. They keep trying to take some of their classic franchises in new directions. The dark Castlevania: LOS, MGS rising without snake, multiplayer silent hill, and they stopped the DDR series altogether.

But in some instances, a game can be the fans fault, if they keep demanding more, like Sonic 06 was a broken mess because fans kept wanting the next sonic game RIGHT NOW, so Sega didn't have any time to fine tune the game

@Djstudiosgold I'm a big Sonic fan, but I kind of stopped for a while after playing Shadow the Hedgehog "I didn't start playing the games again until Colors came out." I finally started buying up all the 3D games, even going so far as to actually COMPLETE Shadow the Hedgehog...but Sonic 06 was just...I finished it but...ugh...it was...just indescribable. I actually thought it was so horrendously bad that it was entertaining to watch the game just trip over itself over and over again.

Guys I won a court case 2 days ago because I pre-ordered MML3 and the manager of a Gamespot refused to give me back my money online so I contacted the court and him and when we both had to go he was being honest and partially telling a few lies but I still won in the end and he got sued. Nowadays, Game companies seem to be resistant to petitions no matter how many people sign it. Crapcom pulled a lot of scheming bullshit stunts on all it's supporters and fans everywhere.

@Babb26 unfavorable things usually happen before things evolve (the market) you're calling for the typical kneejerk reaction out of frustration and/or spite. you can't hurt a company. its a gradual and evolving process. it may be ideal for companies to be perfect but that can only be neared when society and law evolve enough, because markets are fundamentally designed to exploit everything as much as allowed. instead of calling harm against a company, lets worry about societal intelligence & law

I'm very aware of that. The most obvious reaction to a corp. when they try to exploit a product, is to raise bonfires & pitchforks & boycott or retaliate. But this ain't ur average kneejerk reaction. Capcom's been doing this for sometime now but on smaller scale (SF4 retail updates, DLC rip-offs, Franchise identity crisis, etc) but developing a game which you call fans for input for 11 months, then cancel it for some under-explained reason? That's a waste of fan's time. unacceptable.

there are rumors that the X-Series will restart. After all, the story of held as a cliff hanger on Megaman X8 Can't just be cancelled. Fans are expecting MegamanX9. Me3gaman Legends 3 didn't meet the criteria or the popularity demand for CAPCOM to release it. ALSO, several Remakes of the X-Series are also being released year after year. MEGAMAN LIVES ON!!!
