  • Great Video, Buzz Baits, spinner baits, rattle traps all are awesome fall baits, great music as well

  • Haha.. Man, what a great video. "We have to be goin up to 8 miles an hour this morning, look at those waves!" haha.. Dont worry about guys trying to tell you how to fish.. Your pretty good from what I saw. I couldnt tell, but if you guys arent, try running twister tail trailers on buzz baits.. I have noticed a little difference with them on there. Keep it up, lookin forward to another video soon!

  • putting a mister twister on a spinner bait or buzz bait works really well i agree

  • At that 3:54 mark, that Bass smashed what looked like a Chartruse*sp Buzzbait, Strange cause it looks like you were fishing overcast skys, Not usually the best color too go with, darkeer colors on darker days, Brighter More Vibrant Colors on Sunny Days, esp when fishing Topwater. Lucky for you, He killed it! nice video, im going out tomarrow for some fall fishing, Targeting The schools of shad up here in illinois, Going to be kill'n em w/ a White Slo-Slow Jig, with a Fat White Uncle Josh Trailer

  • It was a white buzzbait. The buzzbait is a reaction bait, and bass are opportunistic feeders, so it doesnt matter too much what color it is, its more of a confidence issue. So, have fun worrying about what color you are using, while we are catching bass.

  • Bass are not Feeders, they are "predators" Feeders are garbage Fish like Carp.

Color DOES and ALWAYS will play an important factor in using ANY Top-water bait, example being Spooks or Pop-R's, this includes buzz baits. To many variables to list, but you clearly set yourself up by saying above "Doesn't matter to much what color it is" And yes captain Obvious its a reaction bait, but little do you know its also a territory infringement bait certain times of the year.

    Go back to school.

  • Bass are opportunistic feeders, it's science. You can worry about your topwater color as much as you want. Like you already said, that white bait shouldn't have worked with those conditions...but it did, because it doesn't matter. Also, quit assuming what I don't know. The color of the buzzbait would not affect the chances of a reaction strike if it was "territory infringement."I bet the topwater colors used in your videos are always perfect for the conditions... wait, where are your videos at?

  • @s4il you are an idiot. if you knew much about bass fishing youd realize color only matters about 20 % of the time. get off youtube and go back to school lmfao

  • @CRFmxracer wow...only 20% lol

people BELOW this are agreeing with me idiot, & I'm a Fish Biology major Kid.

Bass have 2 types of cones & humans have 3, we see all different types of color, as with bass. however water clarity & suspended matter affect the distance that different colors of light penetrate into water, want to know why greens, and yellows are such a good color? It's because green and yellow light tend to penetrate deeper, due to the presence of suspended algae and zooplankton

  • @s4il lmao this guy thinks yellow is a good color for bass fishing hahah, maybe in a pond where they bite whatever comes by but get on a lake and you wont catch shit. cool maybe you know about the common traits of fish but obviously you know nothing about bass or bassfishing

  • @CRFmxracer yellow=chartreuse smart one, And why are you mad for? Cursing like it's going to make you sound more "educated" & BTW bass fishing is two words, Funny how you said below its 20% thing, when in one of your own videos you had bought some items from Bass pro shops, and you had about 6 different colors of plastics, so again It's only 20% right? lol Keep taking pop shots, im enjoying this, but don't get to mad when I floor you in knowledge kid.

    get on my level.

  • @s4il i said shit. are you 12? why are you freaking out? and oh wow i forgot a space. if the only thing you have on me is calling me immature because i said shit and forgot a space then im way ahead so you should probably get on my level kthanks. chartreuse rarely ever works in a lake. only excpetion would be a spinnerbait or a yellow bellied frog topwater. yeah cool 6 different colors. its a confidense thing i have confidense in those colors you have confidense in ur lures youll catch fish.

  • @CRFmxracer So KVD Just Didn't win the 2011 Bassmaster Classic on the Louisiana Delta on the HC 1.5 chartreuse & black crank bait? Enough already w/ the Obvious.

Next time you think about basing someone, please consider that not all people are "trolls" starved for some Attention on here, that some of us are actually Very knowledgeable, & do fish bass tournaments on a regular basis, & have the education to back that up, Now let it go already, I'm mapping lakes for Central Pro Am tournament

  • cool. did the guys in second third and fourth place also use that color?

    no.

  • Comment removed

  • @joesliepka I sent you a PM.

  • amen guys. as we always say. "bass dont read the same books we do. You never know what will work till ya try it. You boys obviously know the water you was on and what was gonna catch em. way to go.

  • @TWITAoutdoors I think what S4il was trying to point out is that the Colors on dark overcast conditions, like your video, while using buzz baits, a well know fact is, a Darker color is better, it creates a silhouette to the background sky conditions, think of it like this, if your painting, and your canvas is White/gray, what color is going to stand out more, Black or White? Not sure why you jumped all over him for pointing this out. i didn't see anything wrong in his initial post.

  • @ProStaffStanleycorp I got your Private message, "SRY" i never look at my spam mail much, yea this post was 2 years ago, lol but i knew what it was i had said was valid information, just some people have more of a "personal Preference" than others when it comes too things like color selection, But your right, and if you search These key words on you tube "Bass Fishing With Lee Bailey Jr" he has a video on that exact topic were talking about, i guess now he can argue with a Pro about it. hahaha.

  • @TWITAoutdoors The dude was keepin' it cool you don't gotta freak on him.

  • @TWITAoutdoors i dont fully believe that

  • haha well both of you guys are right and wrong. bass are opertunistic feeders but also feed short periods of time a day. chartreuse is a great low light or dirty water color. its in the category of black and white. fish can pick those colors up. they are bold. along with gold having that said i think color matters more on water clarity and low light or sunny days and if you're trying to match the hatch. color is a big factor all the time. but always do fish your confidence.

  • @s4il i knew what it was you were Trying too point out, a big misconception when it comes to top-water color selection on overcast days, like you said the darker the day, the darker the lure, your SPOT on, Ive published this in both books Ive written on the topic of bass fishing, and people have actually challenged me on this, but alot of pro's Ive interviewed will say when it comes to tournaments, they need fish to get hooked so they always use a darker color, short strikes dont win tournaments

  • @s4il dude chartruese is a great dirtywater/low-light color. lucky for you i told you! haha. i guess these kids know what theyre doin

  • @jigpitcher7 never said it wasn't a good color..I custom air brush my own Lidless cranks, and crank baits, and chartreuse, and black is my #1 selling color, i cant keep up with the demand.

I just made a suggestion, and this guy took it and made a mountain out of a Mole hill.

My suggestion is based off 8 years of fishing bass tournaments, Darker days, For Topwater i use a darker colored lure, black buzzbait, with a blck/blu tube too support the trailer hook. (mike wurm taught me that)

  • @s4il okay thats cool. what im saying is chartreuse is best with overcast or dirty water. i shouldnt of said these kids know what theyre doin cus i dont really think they do. look at the bottom of the comments and read what i said it"ll explain why its a good color

  • @s4il oh and kvd taught me about that. haha!!!!

  • maybe that new found knowledge will help you guys with your confidence colors and help you put more fish in the boat

  • Great Video guys. You put my video to shame and I thought I had a good one. Where abouts in Kansas or what lake. I'm from Kansas City, the Missouri side. Those were some nice size fish consistently for this region.
