Poverty affects us all - black, white, brown, yellow, etc.
Ghostface just tells his story which is from a black perspective, just like Steinbeck tells his story the 'Grapes of Wrath' with poor white sharecroppers.
Respect the art of story telling because very few can actually convey a powerful message in few words.
last night me and some friends rolled 3 cars deep into the real Proctor Valley Rd out by Jamul (for those who don't know we live in San Diego, CA); i was in the last car. as we were going downhill my homie's windshield got foggy as hell, then once it started to defrost I SWEAR it spelled out d.e.v.i.l. my homie even saw it. and to top it all of there was this car following us from a distance, it stopped when we stopped and everything; we believe it was the KKK. this song was playing.
i actually wrote something like that too, but my post got erased cuz the song switched on my playlist to the next song. i justs didn't bother cuz it got me a bit mad, lol. but yeah, song made me cry today, it's done that before too, not all the time though, guess it depends on the thoughts, feelings and empathizing.
pliers for the channel, what these subuurban white boyz know bout' that!! 2 at the foot 2 at the head.....Granny raising both of us cause our momma was a dope fiend....u dig... what ya w know bout going to the store with a five dollar food stamp and bying a 25 cent bag of chips and bringing granny the change so she can get some brew...ya dig!! Northwest Detroit, nigga 4 mile.....
I see where your coming from but you didnt need to say "white boyz". I dont get were sometimes people get their ignorance from. People from every race, religion, natoinality can be broke as shit and live in the struggle.
im a white boy an i know all about hard times an growin up poor i remember when food stamps was actually paper not a plastic card i know all about havin 4 pairs of pants sharin'em wit my brother i know all about struggle an doin time an all that shit i lived a rough life an ima whiteboy ....chitown mufucka
i can relate to this song coming up it was ruff thats why i can say dont forget were you come from.FROM NOTHING TO SOMETHING REAL LIFE HOMIE I AM BLESS TO RIDE SRX CADY TRUCK ON 28 INCH ASHANTI
One of my fav songs but anytime I listen to it it royally messes with me. We all made it through but damn, songs like this can bring it all back like it was yesterday...amazing what art can do. Respect to Ghostface for this one Mx
love this song, it makes me think of everything thats going down.. but my favorite part was grandma held the family down... i didnt like to sleep with john john he peed the bed.. took spit and wiped the coles outta my eyes
haha u know it.. daamn thank ghost for sampling soulful tracks like these.. an the thing is he doesnt try to mask them by speeding up the BPM like Kanye does..if it wasnt for this track i probably wouldnt knw about the original by michael or the movie education of sonny carson.
this is exactly why ghost is the illest in Wu...he made that shit that made you laugh, cry, think, and just say "run that back"...cant nobody flip this and make this more meanginful than him..
Straight fire right here, I didn't know the beat was a Jackson 5 song "Maybe Tomorrow" it was like a 5 second break in the song. Micheal music lives on!
this song is so deep that it makes me cry all the time. some people have it worst than him, and its beautiful that he's not ashamed to share his story.
On tha real, I aint care for this beat...itz to Orchestra sounding for me.
But tha lyricz iz deep and really tellz a hell of a story...I alwayz thought of Ghost az a quick thinking rhymer, but this joint shows his ability to really connect emotionally...
tooooo fuckin much man. can't even express the way this track makes me feel yo. freaaalllzzz a top ten any genre song bro, this is one of the most heart moving songs, just .. i know it's hard to think about, but even just trryyy to imagine how this song makes his mom feel man ..
2ndly, This is Telitha and NOT MJB! Telitha has been on MANY Wu joints. Heads check 36 Chambers, Foreevr, Cuban Linx, Tical, T2, Liquid Swords, Bobby Digi, etc....
i dont give a fuck who telitha is or give a fuck bout what shitty wu albums she been on, but i know mary j s voice. and thats her. i dont know you probably know somethin the other 10 people who posted the video. or ghostface knew
