Your beard almost rivaled mine before I shaved it a few days ago. I kind of miss it. I am also overweight. Don't let the trolls get to ya. Being called fat hasn't upset me since 6th grade. :\ I have never really been insulted on account of my facial hair. I've had several people say I should cut it but that is about it. I've heard them humorously called ball ticklers.
I started growing it when I was 14 or so, and for about the first year it wasn't very thick and then it just got better. When I first started I could grow it to a good length in about 2 weeks. I think it grows a bit faster now.
