clinton's tax increases had nothing to do with an econimoic boom in the 90's...the "dotcom" revolution did. Presidents have No influence on economies, congress does. and that mid 90's boom came under a republican congress. the average income tax in the 50's was about 2%. Money left in the hands of business, the rich, and investers made the economy boom. Lbj and his great society in the 60's, and everything that followed showed the fallacy of the welfare state.

2. Every tax ever put into effect has (A) increased in size and (B) morphed to take money from a greater number of people.
