da rs200 is a bwa, a tom's levin (4age racing) pe2015 burst that ass on two consecutive ocassions, round 1: from the valley to castries, round two: the cannel strecth by desruisseaux. both times da man at the back, he cyan pass. that car jus nice but that slow. come link up the real midnight east coast racers for licks.

US is300 is slow!!!!!! i use to have an is300 and toyota celicas can keep up to me, so there nothing special about the US version!!! its very heavy and i thing its way under power.

i live in us and ls300 MT is hella slow to me don't know any thing about altezza but try to compare a turbo charged to a NA .....N ppl talk about balance well i don't about that how many of u do ''touge'' Ha Ha or freeway there r more z on road

i have a stock lexus is200(altezza),the 2.0l straight 6 is faster than i would of thought and it killed my old bmw,im hoping for an engine transplant soon maybe from the supra etc.........it also has a lsd as standard,very good when hy up in the rev range aswell,i love mine

This is why I wanna get an Altezza. They are not only fun to tune, but if your looking for a family car and are on pretty much a budget (not too low) you can keep the interior intact or just remove stuff to make it lighter, then you can go with engine mods and still have a family ride along on those cruz days. Thats what I think

another option. RX8. Which will out perform the altezza 3sGE, not sure aout the 2jz-ge is300. in the corners where it counts the rx8 is much more fun, and still family friendly, atleast untill your kids come teenagers..

2jz option would be nice but with extra weight over the front and being a very heavy iron block the weight might outweigh the benefits of extra power

Actually the Altezza much lighter, is more balanced, and has a faster engine.

While the IS300 is heavier it's engine can be turbo charged to give a lot more power than the Altezza could but I will wont handle nearly as well as the Altezza.

So its really up to your taste.

i'm pretty sure.. i've found one online on my fave import site for about $3700 plus $1800 for a 20 ft. shipping container to long beach/ los angeles california.. idk how much it would be to get it to like my door (los angeles to enfield connetcicut) would be like $975 (i'm sure there are other auto shippers that are cheaper, but u get my point) so tht's all about $5k and i haven't seen a use one for under $10000

So, basically it is still about 5K cheaper to import. The lexus name tag basically adds 10K to the toyota counterpart with identical bells and whistles.

the stock brakes and engine is good , not to forget the chasis rigidity..only bad is the stock suspension, especially those before year 2001.. which is on much softer side.. change a suspension, and its ready for track..altezza for life..
