  • @94camaroguy not true at all you should always work a full range of body movements and if going down to your chest fucks your shoulders then your working on a too high weight and need to come down the point of free weights is not that you issolate one muscle but infact work a whole group of muscles and in the case of bench press includes certain muscle groups in your shoulders

  • im confused on which way you should do reps... for instance.. should i start by doing 6-8 reps the first day of chest then the second day of chest ( after recover) should i do 10-12 reps? or should i start at 10-12 then work down to 6-8? and also should you work one part of the chest at a time or work the whole chest each chest day? thank you

  • 225 is a lot, and he should be proud of himself for attaining his physique, but this video doesn't at all instruct on how to bench. As a matter of fact, he should have used less weight, to demonstrate that you should be able to do 8-10 reps, if you want maximum pump

    And Basicly if this is Training For Muscule, its not the best way. Extra Slow Negative + Positive way will give best results for Developing Muscule.

  • this guy is confusing everybody. If you can only do three reps, then lower the weight. there is no need to show off. look at you first. You don't even look like you work out.

If you power lift then the arched back is what u will do, you simply can lift more with ur chest angled like this, as for not going all the way down to ur chest you can't be serious of course you can. Ppl either get in the gym or do some research before making dumb ass comments.

  • Your arm, from your shoulder to elbow, should not go any lower than parallel to the floor; or in other words, you should not touch your chest. You can seriously hurt your shoulders.

  • I have been following the workouts at vastmuscle (.com) and my chest has developed like crazy in the last month.... thats whats up

  • If most guys would lose their "ego" at the gym, and stop trying to push weight that is way out of their leaugue, they would be a lot bigger. instead of benching a massive amount of weight like 5 - 7 reps, try a manageable weight, and do a few sets of 12-15 reps, and focus on the the 'contraction' in your chest! Instead of your delts and Tri's being all worn out, your Chest will be on fire, and that's where it counts!!

  • well you dont really need to do more than 10 reps to build muscle. as long as you're doing atleast 3 sets of 10 reps you are building muscle. 6 reps builds strength. 3 reps builds power.

  • you see power gains with low reps and high weight. you will never see muscle gains doing 3 reps. it doesnt tear the muscles down enough for them to be built up bigger it just makes them more powerful and explosive.

DONT BENCH. floor presses, rack lockouts, board presses, use chains, bands, dynamic effort, max effort, strengthen your tris, lats, delts. dont just simply bench and expect to get a big bench. you get a stronger bench you get a bigger chest. skip bodybuilding exercises like flyes and incline presses. and if you REALLY wanna bench more dont use form like him, research more of a powerlifting style bench. that will add weight to your bench on the spot

  • Didn't think you where supposed to lock out and the top of motion cause it takes the load off ya chest.

  • As an accredited PT, here's a little tip: Don't lock up your elbows, not only are you risking injury but you're also butting strain on those joints inastead of the pectoral muscles. Also "slow on the way down, and fast on the way up" Keep up the hard work!
