There's nothing wrong with a single player game. Multiplayer has become mere stats and playing 'keeping up with the Jones' for me and my friends, no longer as fun as a single player experience; at least, if you play competitive like I do. You probably don't, though, so you shouldn't worry about it being too technical.

I dont play competitively(never really wanted too, and ill be honest, im not good enough :P), and I aggree with ur points. The only real pleasure I get from multiplayer experiences is closed/LAN-type games, with my friends or people I know, such as css, or simply mmorpgs, such as EvE, and *gasp* even WoW(even though blizzard is butchering it :S) MW2 and other new games just arent as fun, as it seems they are just copies of themselves, with only a few shiny new buttons every x-pac

well, i dont want to start a flame war or anything, and i'll respect your opinion, but i'll tell you mine. MW2 will get game of the year because it appeals to a larger market, is the followup to a great franchise(cod 2 FTW), has shiny graphics, fast gameplay, and quick, satisfying kills. I do not enjoy these type of games. I understand Im not the norm here, but i'd rather play a deeply entertaining and captivating game than a simple shooter. Also, i play single player w/ friends

I don't mind fps's, just that MW2 seems like that one game that's overhyped, and the market is globling it up. Fps's are great, Bioshock, ME+fallout 3+borderlands (rpg-shooters), half life are great games. Although i am more of an rpg fan, I just don't get the hype i guess. I don't like shooting the same enemies over and over using one gun, and i'd rather try to kill a boss for the 8th time in dragon age :P(it's pretty awesome, me and my friend play together, so its more entertaning

So like, we have this awesome computer, and we can do decisions together, discuss what abilities/items, and how to level. If you find a patient friend who is around your same skill level, and you don't mind being critized and doing comments while you play, you should try it out. We played Fury (too bad it got cancelled, it was pretty fun button-mashing ^^) Kotor, Mass Effect, and we are now around 15 hours into dragon age. Have you ever done anything like this?

I've seen my friends Alienware tear macs apart. Literally. It got up and destroyed them. With lasers. PC's are fantastic if you have good anti-virus software. An alienware ALX is more powerful than one of those supermacs and it looks nicer AND is less expensive AND can play games. And then there's custom computers, HP, Dell, Acer, etc... for people who aren't literally made of money. You can get a PC for $500 that's faster than a $2000 mac. Better deal any way you look at it.

I know what RAM is and I also know that Vista tends to use a lot to just function normally. And as far as I'm concerned, being able to do a bunch of things simultaneously does make your computer faster than others. Even though the programs themselves don't run faster, there's less lag and things respond more quickly. I didn't use to be able to keep this many tabs and programs open on my old computer. And unfortunately, my comp just has a the media accelerator built onto the motherboard.

Luckily though, I don't game on my computer all that much. I play Star Wars: Empire at War, Forces of Corruption, EVE Online, 9Dragons, and Tremulous. The only thing I'd really need a graphics card for is EVE Online and even then, that would just make it look nicer cause right now, it runs just fine. I use my 360 and PS3 for all other gaming.

Dude... I bought this ACER for 500 bucks and it came with Microsoft Office so I didn't have to pay jack shit for that. And for security, I use Spybot Search and Destroy, AVG 8.0 Free, and Ad-Aware, all of which are free. I spent 500 dollars on a computer with 6 gb RAM, Microsoft Office, and Anti-Virus protection. Oh, and here's a news flash for you: MACS USE MICROSOFT OFFICE TOO and guess what, IT ISN'T FREE FOR THEM EITHER! The word processing programs Macs come with are painfully limited.
