  • We shipping now our best goats from spain

    For cheesemaking are the best.

please contact with us for more info.

kiloeuro@hotmail.es , we want to share all info of our farms

  • my neighbor has 60 angora goats. I now how hard it is to keep that many as I am always helping her with things. Luckily for me I only have 2

  • my friend has 5000 goats on 5500 acres. just a small farm in australia.

  • I am also planning on purchasing a goat farm land. I have saved a few thousand dollars for a down payment and to purchase goats.

  • Hi where is the location of your farm? I am interested in purchasing a farm.. I wonder how far is it from the down town city.. (how many hours drive or how many miles away). is there public transportation nearby.. my wife would be living in the city. I would like to live on the farm.

  • I wonder if you can remove the horns so they don't hurt themselves.. or not removing the horns helps them be better goats? i saw a video where they remove the horns of the cows in America.

  • @TheGreenfrog140 When goats are kids you can disbud them by burning their horn numbs off so they dont grow. Or you can use a metal saw type thing and remove it but it is not very humane and leaves big holes into the sinus cavity. You have to keep a good watch on the animals health until the holes cover up, or the goat may get a sinus infection.

  • @DJDangersJessiJane thank you for the information?

  • i would like to have an email to know when they r saling and how much is the price

  • If they have 800 boer goats.....how much acreage are they suppose to have? The book says 7 goats per acre, I bet they only have 5 acres when they are suppose to have 114 acres.

  • @DJDangersJessiJane 7 goats per acre??!??!! thats very less? which book are you reading? one acre of land sounds its too much land only 7 goats.

  • @TheGreenfrog140 All the books I have read say 7 goats per acre so as to not ruin the forage. If you raised miniature goats Im sure you could double the number.

  • @DJDangersJessiJane I am planning on starting to do goat farm. What do you think? is it a good profitable business? I just think that its hard work.. thats about it..

  • @TheGreenfrog140 We made a profit in the first year of raising boer goats. But that was indeed a lot of hard work. For a lot of people it can take 2-3 years to make a profit. The boer goat is losing its value as a meat goat because its all about the show and the name. We switched to Nigerians and Pygmy goats and by next year plan to have mostly registered Nigerians. They dont need as much food, space or as much medical care as the boers, which are essentially a weak link. It is hard work :)

  • @DJDangersJessiJane here in philippines..u can make more profit..next yr maybe start 50 to 100 goat

  • @DJDangersJessiJane I wonder how much you invested and how much you made profit and how hard was the work and how many acres your farm is located on and how much it costed you for the feed?

  • @TheGreenfrog140 I first purchase of registered boer goats (about 12 adult does, 8 kids and 2 bucks) costed I believe 6,300. They werent as high quality a boers as was liked but they were decent. We made all of that back and more in our first two years actually. Once we started breeding and selling. The hard work is when you have to worm and trim them. The winter months were difficult as well. Feed can be quite pricey but we buy a special mix now that we designed. We get it by the barrel.

  • @DJDangersJessiJane go on please.. tell me more.. was it worth it?

  • @TheGreenfrog140 Everything we ever did with the goats was worth it. Getting into goats in the first place was the best thing we ever did. They are very enjoyable and make your day, everyday. All the hard work you do will be backed and more by the happiness they bring. We've had our fair share of hardships, but we are plenty experienced now. We've had goats for 10 years. Raised boers for 6 years. We are just now getting into the miniature goats, THAT was the best thing we've done so far. :)

  • @DJDangersJessiJane why miniature Goats?

  • @TheGreenfrog140 When we first got into goats, before the Boers, we had brush and lots of Pygmy goats. We sold all of them out but we always loved them. Last Feburary we got 5 heavilty pregnant Nigerian Dwarfs and fell in love all over again. That Spring we sold out of the boers. Now we have almost 50 head of goats, with only 3 being any other breed. They are much more worm resistant, and hardier and thrive more. They are cuter too, and can have blue eyes. I've always liked Dairy goats too.

  • @DJDangersJessiJane do you raise nigerian dwarfs for meat?

  • @DJDangersJessiJane How do you make them worm for winter? do you have jackets for them? my uncle had two horses .. he would make the horses wear jackets in severe harsh winters.. otherwise their natural thick hair were good enough to resist the winter for them. I wanted to also ask you about the feed.. what do they eat? how kind of feed can be preserved?

  • @TheGreenfrog140 Goats need atleast a 3 sided shelter. We provide Calf huts and other shelters for them. Small goats and babies can use doghouses as well! :) We had an old goat that wore a mini horse blanket. She did well in it. Goats grow thick winter coats that keep them warm. But warm dry bedding also helps. Goats get a mixed grain. Ours get oats. corn. soybeanmeal. black oil sunflower seeds all mixed with mollases. Feed keeps very well in rubber barrels to keep out mice and weather.

  • @DJDangersJessiJane what is registered goats and unregistered goats? obviously to register you will have to spend some money? that probably comes out of your profit perhaps?

I heard the Nigerians and Pygmy goats are for milk and boers are for Meat? is this true?

  • @DJDangersJessiJane my cousin has 100 goat per hectare

  • hi.where is this goat farm?and how much is the goat? thanks
