  • that's Randy,why don't the call thiss Guess Who?

  • I like The Guess Who only slightly better than Steppenwolf, who btw put Canada on the music Map Nationally with Born to be Wild and Magic Carpet Ride!

  • Burton has his own way to rock.Excellent!!!

  • MY HERO.

  • Haha, I was at this show with my parents if this is from the CNE Bandshell in Toronto. Not a 100% sure.

  • If you want to forget all your troubles and problems in the world for a few hours, go see Burton Cummings in concert. He puts on the best show and all your troubles will be forgotton (well at least while you're there).

  • Is that Randy Bachman on guitar? Sure looks like him!

  • @goesfastandfar Yes! it is!

  • @ goesfastandfar it is him the formed the band Guess who but BTO was first

  • 2 people do not know how to rock!

  • "My Own Way To Rock"....is the GREATEST Album? EVER!!!!!

I wore-out an 8-Track tape of it. I paid $40. for a 33LP Album, jst to have it for posterity! Burton is the BEST!!! I jam to his tunes whenever I need to ROCK!!

He set the pace, with his jammin' on the Piano Keys....the keys never stood a chance!!

  • it's just so awesome to watch bc perform. he really gets into the music.

  • and you want me to pay over $100 to see this now when I seen it at a free, out door concert. Live... Twice... love ya lotts B. but NO

  • stonkin` song bruv! bought the single.

  • One of the best piano players on the planet. LOVE Burton! He used to play Thunder Bay right around my birthday years ago. I swear, I thought he was coming there just for me! Standing at the front of the stage at the Fort William Gardens...sigh. So proud of our Canadian boys!

  • When I look back on my life, being 15 feet away from the piano keys that night is in the top 5. It was like a private concert as Burton keep smiling at me...all night. He really had a blast playing for us all and we wouldn't let them go home. They played an extra half-hour, after we yelled for more! Good times...

  • The Original Risky Business!! But years before and COOLER!

  • Lord how I love those two young girls at 3:20-3:24 ! Take my silver dollaaaah, change it into quarters, shove 'em in the record machine. Bet they're still rockin' to this tune just like I am. :o].

  • That's what you call TALENT and SHOWMANSHIP. The KEY to it all !!! Long live Burton Cummings and Randy Bachman.!!!

  • @TheInvincibleViolet Well, not sure what Burotn is up to these days, but Randy is still rocking. Has teamed with Fred Turner again (of BTO) and on tour. (All Winnipeg boys.) They sound as good as they ever did! I don't know how Fred's voice stands up!! He still can sceam it out. Randy has a show on CBC radio in Canada. Let me know if you want the times/stations.

  • Thanks to cousin Roger for buying this album for me when I was 12 years old. It's what made me want to be a rock keyboard play and I'm still at it to this day. Thanks most of all to Burton.

  • Never heard this song before, but that's some great rockin'.

  • @shsnj if you have never heard this song...you dont know what rockin is!

  • Watching and hearing that video just brought me tears of utter joy! I kid you not. This man not only posesses the best voice in rock, he can write a mean boogie-woogie rock and roll tune, too! Whoo-hoo! Rock and roll!

  • @bwho : I'll second that. Burt is the best vocalist I've ever heard, and I'm 55 years old and have played professionally for a number of years. Burt's been my absolute favorite for many years.

  • @Dogheadj No doubt. I love old Guess Who songs. Like 'Attila's Blues' and 'Road Food' off the 'Road Food' album. That is a band that took Kurt Winter's enormous talent for writing and playing blues songs and Burton's great voice and piano work and great talent for writing songs and just plain rocked the house for many years. What a great band. Not to mention Randy Bachman's great abilities as well. Makes for one great time was had by all! Rock On!

  • I played this song in an old band 20 years ago. It's as much fun to play as it is to listen to..

  • Epic video with an incredible band. Thanks for posting.

  • Christ, 25 yearsw plus, and still, just still!!!! one of the best piano seranades ever. You just plain assed rock Burton. and this, is 5 years after that.!

May God bless you for the fun you brought to a confused and musically challenged generation.

    Joseph

  • wow Burton is the shit!!!!

  • Do you have the video from this same concert of the song Star Baby ???

  • Jammin!!!!! Wish he would come to MemphisTn.

  • aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaargh i love him ...

  • My Opel GT song screaming along Oregon backroades! I ripped this UP tape up! Thanks Burton!

  • Your the Boston boy? Burton is from winnipeg Manitoba born and raised.

  • Was referring to myself..

  • SWEET !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • pure bad-ass!

  • Hi all... holy smokes! I saw him last night in Vancouver... aMAZing. He is 61 and is still so cool, so talented- and a funny man! People went nuts, and were mostly his age-ish!

  • I would give my eye-teeth to see him in person! As a child of the 60s, I've been following him for years. A great performer.

  • Oh boy. If you ever get the chance. People were remarking that he is still hitting all the notes, playing the songs in the same key...

And he is talented, yet down-to-earth and humble. Seems to be enjoying himself, there is "joy" there.

I came to know his music in the 80's, my own way to rock, your backyard, fine state of affairs, THEN realised he was the other genius half of the Guess Who. WOW! Wow. Wow.

When the key board started for "These Eyes," WOW!!!!

  • Hey anybody know where this concert was held?

  • Right off Lake Ontario at the CNE fairground. I was there, in the 3rd row!!!

  • One of those times when the live is actually better than the recording, it doesn't get better than this. Love Burton's scat at the end

  • The true test . Do they sound as good live as on recording? Hell, yeah ... Burton always does!

  • Been a big Burton fan since 69/70. Never saw him in person until August 2001 at Syracuse NY. Have seen him more than a dozen times since, and never been disappointed. Will be watching for shows this year, will travel almost anywhere. How about that for an endorsement?

  • This Boston Boy was hooked with Wheatfield Soul... The man is a legend

  • im bored =( someone come chat with me O

  • I know I have posted here before (several times, maybe!) but wouldn't these guys have been great on the American Grafitti sound track! After all, they did the Wolfman thingee!

  • Ahhh. You babies, never lived real rock and roll! Here it is Thanks to YouTube, you can!

  • NOW THAT IS ROCK AND ROLL BABY

  • Amen Brother ...thats the REAL DEAL:

  • PS...cummings is ten times better than Jerry Lee Lewis on piano

  • Ya think so? I know he has a classical background. Actually, when I listen I think you might right. Eevn though I grew up on Jerry Lee.

  • Jerry Lee Lewis also never had a voice like Burton's

(Ummm also...Jerry was a child molester....but hey who remembers that huh?_

  • These guys are so talented and compliment each other - just amazing!

  • Maybe not Jerry Lee on the piano, but pretty damned good, wouldn't you say?! And Jerry never had a band like this!!

  • Start those engines, There's a Canadian in the house...woohooooooo!!!!!!...Kick that keyboard up a notch!

  • Classic rock from a Great Canadian

  • This guy starts my engine

  • I had this tape when I had a screamin Opel GT. Loved to jam gears on my way around the winding roads to the coast. What great memories!

  • Always loved Burton Cummings vocals. Thanks for posting.

  • Sign a petition to get these guys into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Google "Guess Who petition", but don't use the quotation marks

  • Rock at its best. Nothing too flashy or overdone. Just four guys having a great time, singin' fun lyrics, playin' music full of melody and energy, and an overall band that's as tight as hell.

  • well said !

  • Best voice in rock, Burton Cummings is!

  • English 50 will work a miracle on some of you folks.

  • gat ta fak is goin noin jir

  • Burton Cummings...Hammer Music.Great.

  • The best piano player of all times and a voice that can't be matched!

    Thanks for the video!

    Debbie

  • Burton has to rate as one of the greatest showmen ever. He puts his all into every show.........great video thanks!!!
