Pretty good, but it is a bit lethargic sounding now that I listen to it again. I think it doesn't stand up well to the Pistols, Dolls or Ramones in hindsight. I still like it though.

@pmleffers my point is, that in the punk, as rotten said, the music doesn't mind that much. Is a movement, for the marginated teens feel like they belong to something... the music is just part of it, of the movement.
Yeah Sid didn't has any idea of how to play bass, but he was the face of the punk... thats why ppl love him.

Pretty good, but it is a bit lethargic sounding now that I listen to it again. I think it doesn't stand up well to the Pistols, Dolls or Ramones in hindsight. I still like it though.

billy idol was one of the early punks too though! generation x was a pretty good punk band, but yeah, sid definitely has the most punk rock look ever! he had a cool voice too, he just couldn't play bass!

sid mighta not been the best bassist, but man could he sing! pretty sure it was malcolm mclaren (managers to the sex pistols) who stated himself that if he hadnt of already chosen johnny, he woulda picked sid to be the front man for the pistols cause outta all the people on the stage HE had the most charisma. ps; nancy was a slut faced hoe who killed sid, and his mom wasnt much better, they didnt deserve his love.

A good bass player? The other band members describe him as "Tone deaf with no sense of rhythm and incapable of learning". When they made albums they cut out his playing and dubbed in the guitarist playing bass lines because Sid couldn't play at all. He wasn't even a beginner bass player.
