  • One more Pakistan in Indai zindabad !!!

  • My long term goal is to become a petroleum engineer. I think drilling and production engieering interests me most.

What is a good 2 year program to begin my education? General engineering? Mechanical? Electrical?

It seems that specializing comes later and so I need to start somewhere, can anyone toss me some advice?

  • Did anyone else notice he says size very awkwardly at 0:20

  • it's ok

  • the intro and outro sucked

  • i also wanna be a reservoir engineer, and this video helped me a lot.however i would like to know more deeper about reservoir eng,and other kinds of PE sphere. i got many infos about them, but still w/out videos its tougher to get what they say.

  • Hi there! I am taking a bachelor degree in Petroleum Engineer. Can anyone help me how to download this video clip via this site?

  • I want to be a Petroleum engineer but I suck in Chemistry :'(

  • @sweetiestismine If you listened to the video it said the basic job description... and that is to extract the oil from the ground and transport it to the refinery. It dosn't seem like too much chemistry to me , but im not in the field.

  • @sweetiestismine

Chemistry ,organic or inorganic is all about studying valency and forming acids, alkalies and salts thts all for that u shd know how to use valency concept once u do that other things are just mugging up.Find some good books for this concept theres one book i studied was Sony and Tuly i made my chemistry concept clear from it.All the best.

  • @abhijithero teri ammi ki gand mari hahaha

krishan bhagwan ki gan mai His own Bansuri hahaha

radha ki fudi main krishan bhagwan ka lund ha ha ha

  • @mra30303 HEYY!! i havee the samee Goall as youu!! (: good luck Mate. (:

  • why would you become a petroleum engineer these days. Leaving the oli in the ground and further develop alternative energy sounds more reasonable for me = )

  • Nice easily explained!

  • So us CS majors develop the programs they use but they make 30k a year more than us.. :(

  • Dr. Lau, here is a question I bet your don't get often. I am dating a Petroleum Engineering student. I want to get him something really cool for Christmas. I am in the medical field and don't have a clue what a neat gift would be for a P.E....any ideas? Haha..thanks!!!

  • Dr. Lau, may I know where's the best university to conduct the courses of petroleum engineering?

  • @georgeleeish Texas A&M University in College Station, TX

  • @texasoutdoors09

Or CSM in Golden, CO ;)

  • hahaha...very nice....this muzik is chosen from indian film....

  • great video. think you summed up the 3 main areas nicely. I worked 3 months in scotland under two different petroleum engineers as my part of my university work placement. Found it vert interesting. would love to get back into that area but I worry that production may decline and there may not be as much work as there was. anyway still nice video.

  • Good evening Dr.Lau ,

Very helpful video , i would like to be reservoir engineer but can you briefly tell what a Geo-science engineer do then ?

and thanks again for ur useful posts,

    Have a nice holiday !

  • Please view the geo-science video that I have just posted. I would be happy to answer any questions about the difference between geoscience and petroleum engineering.

    R. Lau

  • @llau13. Hope everything is ok on your side. I like to be in petroleum industry, due to that I have decide to back to college and start my root to the field. Since I am new to this field, I would like you to assist me on having some materials to study. The materilas that I am serching for this semister are as follows:- 1. Intoduction to oil and gas industry 2. Petroleum Geology and Exploration 3. properties of Resevoir Fluid 4. Petroleum Drilling system.

    Waiting good news from you.

  • @llau13 hello Dr. is it vital that i have skill in chemistry for every part of petroleum engineering? i do physics math and statistics, i am not in college yet. thank you
